I think the first 3 (LH/Woo, Chip/Lake, Wwaynedale/Swanton) will all be close games.

He has made his rounds out there in NW Ohio.

The drive times for the local teams traveling this week SUCK!! There are so many schools in Ohio with turf now that I think its time for the state to consider dropping the home field advantage. A #1 seed team against an 8 seed is already an advantage...why give them another advantage to be at home? Lets play on a neutral field and see what happens!

The Regions are just ridiculous. A few years ago Hillsdale had to go to SE Ohio 1st round. Now we go to NW Ohio. Arent we actually a NE team? Its crazy! One would think 1st round game would be somewhat close.

Hell next alignment Wayne County may end up in Dayton.

No...just think its insane for teams to have to drive 2.5 - 3 hours just because the state grants the higher seed home field advantage. I don't mind the way the regions have been drawn, but why not pick a neutral field (with turf) and let both teams have somewhat similar drive times.

Remember in 94' when we played Wauseon at Findlay? That was a neutral site....but we drove 2.5 hours and Wauseon had a 25 minute drive. Thats the crap I am talking about. That may as well been a home game for Wauseon....although I am not complaining about the outcome!!

Makes no sense to grant home field advantage in my opinion.

I think that was Genoa's fans sentiments after the game played at Ashland years ago.

Yes I remember that. I am in favor of making neutral site games even as far as travel distance...but as the old saying goes if you don't want to travel week 1 be in the top four and you will play at home.

I agree here. However the Bears need to contain the QB, He like to run and is mobile, #22 seems to be his go to man along with #11. shut down the freshman RB #23 (near 1000 yds) and slow down #11. Offensively, utilize all the weapons and lull Swanton to sleep before smacking them in the mouth with #32. See the running game and the speed of #26 or the hands of #3, and #10 underneath.

Can NOT lock on #32, as Swanton #11 is about 6'3? and im sure will be covering him. Depends on speed I guess.

This coach runs alot of trick plays as well. DO NOT sleep on special teams, punts, PAT's etc.

Wauseon is much farther than 25 minutes from Findlay lol it's more like an hour.

Also as a Genoa alum and a head coach at another HS let me add that I have lost tons of respect for Mike Vicars. He steps down at Genoa to "spend more time with his grandkids" and then bolts for the Delta job which is where he left to come to Genoa. Then after a season he leaves there for Swanton lol. You just can't do that to teenagers who see you as a role model IMO

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Kinda like when a coach took grass out of a zip lock bag and dumped it on the floor of an opposing teams visitors locker room and said, "this is OUR home field"! That lead to some epic pep talks that game! Years later we found out that coach just ripped up some grass from the place we were playing!!! LOL! Some coaches will do whatever it takes to get your motor running!
