I don't know the man but it looks like a good hire. Excited for more wrestling opportunities in Central Ohio.

I hope that with Otterbein adding wrestling that the other OAC schools follow like Capital, Marietta and Wilmington. Give kids that opportunity to continue the dream!!

I agree, let's hope more schools follow suit. If it were to happen, I see Capital more than the other 2 only because, like Otterbein, Capital is located in a nice suburb near a major metropolitan area that can attract more kids. Plus, if local kids decide to stay local Columbus has 50+ high schools within a short drive they can recruit from.

Wilmington already has a wrestling team.

EDIT Apparently they have cut it and added lacrosse, what a shame...

They cut the team after the 2010-2011 season. I'm not sure lacrosse was the cause. They only had maybe 8 kids on the team. I remember I was going to wrestle as their 196 my junior year, but tore my MCL during football.

Totally agree! I wish Capital wouldn't have gotten rid of wrestling in the first place. Maybe with the grown of Central Ohio, it will bring wrestling back at Capital. It'd be nice to see a school like Ohio Dominican pick it up. The school is a nice size and really could reach some good athletes in Central Ohio that would either go up north or to West Virginia.
