For me it's been way up there for several years but it seems to be a growing irritation and that is the clock management by NFL coaches. It blows my mind how much time a week these guys spend every week trying to gain every fathomable advantage....but then so often are a head-scratching failure at working the clock to their advantage or on whether or not to run plays to get a first or to eat some clock.

I wish they could plan out the prime-time games sooner than what they do. Networks must have ratings that justify putting the Cowboys on as much as they do, but I can't possibly believe people want to watch a team minus Romo and Bryant. Or this years miserable Saints team, Detroit tomorrow night, San Francisco next Sunday, etc.

I understand they want to mix in some variety rather than just show Dallas, Green Bay, New England, and Denver every week. But Detroit blows. The team is absolutely dreadful to watch. No offense to you, but with Roethlisberger out next week's MNF game with Pittsburgh and San Diego doesn't look great, either.

You cannot move a Monday or Thursday game. Not in the sense that it's against the rules, in the sense that it would be absolute chaos.

As as for the Sunday night games, after week 5 they can flex. The promblem is finding games that will draw better ratings...

Its looking like Denver @ Chicago or Green Bay @ Minnesota the week before thanksgiving.

Also so highly doubtful SNF will be in Pittsburgh/Baltimore towards the end of the year at this rate. They also want to flex out of the Dallas home game week 9 versus Philly. But, those 2 teams draw huge ratings. Green Bay is at Carolina and Denver at Indy that week though...

They could schedule 2 games on Monday and Thursday nights. Regional markets could get the local game, and other markets can pick which game they want, or ESPN could divide their games between any of their networks.

Networks would never go for that. They pay way too much money to have a competing game. Plus, MNF would have essentially the 7th pick of those weekend games. NBC gets the first, then fox and CBS alternate 2/3 pick and ESPN gets 4th pick (CBS and fox staying within their AFC/NFC rules). It would go back to them for 2 more and ESPN would then pick their 2nd game. So, your choice would still suck.

You would also would solve the issue of bad teams early on. You can't alter people's travel on such short notice constantly, before they get mad. And tv crews are Union.

The NFL has too many games scheduled for 1:00. I don't know why they can't stagger the games out between 1, and 4:30. Or move more games to 4:00.

Penalties in the NFL. It is RIDICULOUS this season how many flags there are, esp for ticky tacky BS. It's like they look for F4F types to be refs.

Roger Goodell. The league seems to be increasingly prospering in spite of him. The rules to protect the QB in ridiculous situations, prevent player celebrations, etc. as well as how he disciplines players seems completely out of touch with everyone else in America.

Major League baseball players that can't execute a bunt.
Major league baseball players that would rather hit into the teeth of a shift rather than lay one down and get a sure hit. Obviously there are some players like Miggy Cabrera that are so potent offensively, that a bunt is a waste of their talent, but there are plenty of other average players hitting .220 and hitting 12- 20 HRs a year, that are hitting into the extreme shifts that I wonder how these guys have a job.

Thom Brennaman when Phillips makes a great play is unbearable and when other players make a great play he alludes to Phillips immediately. When our SS Suarez makes a great play he points out that he takes ground balls everyday beside Phillips.
