Going with the wife and our two year old daughter. Planning on Childrens Museum and their zoo so far. Anything else we should try to hit. Hotel/reastaurant suggestions? Shapiros Deli looks good....

If your wife is anything like mine, she would enjoy the shopping on Mass Ave. It's a bunch of little small local shops and my wife really enjoyed it.
It isn't as fun for you, obviously. But sometimes it's nice to have something like that in the back pocket to bring up when you want to go out and watch the game at the bar and she gives you shit for it.

Thanks for the suggestions! Menus looked identical. Looks like H&I owners used to run St Elmos.sportchampps;1753526 wrote:For food Harry and Izzys and St Elmo's are both good

Yes...it's downtown. Actually fairly close to the Children's Museum and not too far away from Monument Circle.slingshot4ever;1753545 wrote:Is that shopping downtown?

St. Elmo's for sure. One of my favorite restaurants ever.

They are next door and share a kitchen. St. Elmo's is going to be more upscale and sit down in a corridor for dinner. Harry and Izzys will be a little more open, a little more party atmosphere, but a slightly different menu. Both serve the amazing steaks and famous shrimp cocktail.slingshot4ever;1753546 wrote:Thanks for the suggestions! Menus looked identical. Looks like H&I owners used to run St Elmos.
For late night food, Kirkwoods has breadsticks stuffed with cheese and pepperoni. It's amazing. But you gotta deal with a few more college aged kids lol.

Bub's Burgers and Ice Cream is a nice location for a family. It was on Man v. Food.
