This season swirled down the toilet by the end of May but it's really nice having 2 people vying for a batting title. When's the last time a tribesman won the batting title? Also, it looks like Lindor could finish north of 300 in his rookie campaign. Not a bad 1, 2, 3 punch to look forward to over the years.

Team still needs more power. Gomes has had a shit year and hopefully will bounce back next season. Team needs a new right fielder and first baseman. Not sold on Urshella yet either.

Hilariously...only 5.5 out of the wild card and .5 behind the White Sox...jumping them would mean there would be only 5 other teams to jump. I've said it before, they need to rip off a 10 game winning streak. I'd love to see where they would stand after that. Right in the thick of it down the stretch.

I was 1 year old when Bobby Avila won the batting title at .341.

Tribe takes care of business tonight. Offense has been clicking as of late.

Rangers getting pounded. Tribe may climb to within 4.5 of WC after today.

Off day tomorrow and then a huge weekend series with WC contending Angels.

I think you may have forgotten about Minnesota passing up Texas. Tribe is 5 out.

How great has lindor been? Now up to .310 BA, .357 over the last 30 games. He is going to be an absolute stud!

Makes you wonder if he was up earlier in the season, and they weren't in their usually "penny pinching" mode, if they'd only be 2 or 3 games out of the WC?

Agreed. Too many teams to leapfrog. Shame they wait until late to get motivated.

Yes. Forgot about the smoking hot Twins taking over the 2nd WC. 6 straight for them.

And it is a pipe dream for the playoffs but we have 3 vs the Angels and 6 vs the Twins remaining. The whole month of September is division games so we are going to need to beat up on the Twins, Tigers and Sox and survive the 6 vs the Royals.

If they can get it to 3 by the first week of September it could get interesting

Oh I agree. I wanted him up in May. He's hitting .368 since the all star break. He just keeps getting better and better every game

If they can pass all the teams but the Twins and get it to 3 by the last series of the season...it will be interesting as we finish with 3 vs the Twins. 2013 ended with us making the playoffs with a sweep of the Twins.

We finish with Boston, but we play the Twins the second to last series.
