Roderick Smith LOI in @ 9:33am

Henderson, Moses, and Anderson are the only 3 left with decisions pending, and it appears Moses will be signed with UVA by noon. If we miss on all 3, will we fill this class in w/ some 2-3 stars, or save the couple extra schollies for next years class?

If we miss out on these 3, I would like to see themm save them for next year. The class is already not a very good class no need to add extra 2-3 stars that will get very little pt and or transfer.

Something to remember OSU fan's is that OSU and Michigan play by different rules in recruiting than the big boys. The thing's those coaches do in recruiting would get Rich Rod and Tressel roasted on a spit up north.

First-year head coach Lane Kiffin and the Southern California staff are having a big 2010 national signing day so far and it could get even bigger.
At 5:30 p.m. ET, the nation's top offensive lineman, Seantrel Henderson (Saint Paul, Minn./Cretin Derham-Hall) will make his announcement and we project him to pick the Trojans over Ohio State.
USC also picked up two other pieces of good news Wednesday morning. ESPNU 150 wide receiver Markeith Ambles (McDonough, Ga./Henry County) committed to USC over Tennessee and North Carolina. He was committed to the Vols when Kiffin was the head coach in Knoxville. Also, athlete Hayes Pullard (Los Angeles, Calif./Crenshaw) committed to USC over UCLA. The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder is the nation's No. 52 athlete.

also my guess would be that players like hendo and anderson are pretty set that they aren't going to get a 9-5 when/if they graduate from college so going to USC (regardless of the sanctions) will be a more enjoyable exprerience for college and then they'll go pro and all is well. they are not set on winning championships (regardless of what they say in interviews).

Ohio State has a great class this year. We filled some needs, no worries about who we didn't get. Remember Tress gets his recruits early. As for the doom and gloom being talked about today with tOSU not signing any of the few mentioned players left, I leave you with 2 numbers.....

^^ false. take that shit to bucknuts, we're all stocked up on crazy here.

I'm not the doom and gloom type, but I'm a bit pessimistic and a lot objective. Today is disappointing get 0 of the big 3 we had targeted. I know they'll be fine and next year will be a different story because of the potential vacancies, but today still stings.

Everyone is signed and accounted for.

It will be a bad day if we don't get one OL. We only have Norwell in this class and not getting James, Henderson or Moses would hurt our OL depth. You should always take more than one OL in a recruiting class... unfortunately we are down to Hendreson. I would rather have taken 3 or 4 OL this year.

It looks like Anderson is taking a visit to USC and then he will decide. We have plenty of room for him, and I think he will be a buckeye.

true--and take that shit to the bank...Henderson's not gone(yet),so hold off on you're pessimism..I didn't say it was a banner year, but it's someplace between "sucks" and "fantastic"....some of you frickin' people need to relax!!!

A little perspective . . .

I remember being pissed when Jason Gwaltney (!) picked West Virginia over OSU (2004?). Then we had A. Pittman with back-to-back 1000 yard seasons and then Beanie showed up. Gwaltney never saw the field at WVU. You don't know who's going to step up and who's going to flame out.

Not terribly excited about this class, but this is the year to be "down" a bit.

As for the thoughts that OSU might now try to sign rivals.com 5-star athlete Latwan Anderson of Cleveland Glenville, sources told me this morning that likely will not be the case. Anderson committed to West Virginia a month ago and was said to be wavering. He's not yet listed as having signed with the Mountaineers
From the Dispatch blog... pretty interesting.

Its not a great day so far but seeing Louis sign makes it easier for me a little bit.

This Buckeye class has some good talent at the skill positions, just wished to see more than 1 OL guy. You're straight up high if you think OSU has filled the needs at OL. Unless they get 4-5 OL commits next season the depth at the OL spot will be thin especially if guys like Brewster go pro early.

Hopefully that comes today with Henderson but in the end OSU will be a Top 5 team next season and probably the season after that.

The only thing that has bothered me in this whole process is how kids commit then keep flopping back and forth... make a committment and attempt to stick to it is my only quam
