"C'mon" can't you see how dumb that logic is? The point is Isaiah isn't even close to the level of player that Kyrie is. It's a waste of breath to compare the two.
I think the only comparing anyone is doing is simply stating that based on this year's performances, one is more worthy to be an all-star, as Kyrie has missed a bit over half the year and doesn't have any sort of statistical advantage where one could say he showed more in 20 games than Thomas did over an entire season.
Of course, this is the sort of thing where I don't know why anyone would care. With his injury history, I don't know why anyone would want him playing in a meaningless exhibition, as opposed to getting a couple days to rest his body for games that actually do matter. And I think the All-Star Game will be borderline unwatchable to levels approaching the NFL Pro Bowl, since the fans voted Kobe's corpse in, so the entire night will be all the announcers slobbing his knob because it's the closest thing to a BIG EVENT he'll be part of this season before riding off into the sunset.
