It was the 1st quarter and they showed a highlight from 2007 when the Warriors beat the mavs in the playoffs. There was a family sitting beside me, the mom (I'd assume) asked her sons probably all early 20s to mid 20s what players were on that team. They could name 1.... 1 freaking player. Baron Davis. I started laughing and the lady looked down and said something and one of the guys said, hey Ohio boy you know more. I had an osu shirt on and to be honest I thought there was about to be a fight. My wife looked at me with a nasty look because it was my daughters birthday. But I named 5 more players: ellis, richardson, Barnes, harrington, Jackson. The guy said, Damn you're more of a warriors fan then we are. Then I told them I was a cavs fan. Then left.
I'm sure there are a lot of knowledgeable fans out here that have been longtime warriors fans, but I've yet to meet one. These dudes were likely Lakers fans for years.
Sounds about right.
The entire state of California shouldn't be allowed to have sports teams.
