Being retired now... Hate it. Will be looking for a job or taking a position if one come around I like.

I have cut back on a few things. One item was donations.

i still give to the church, private college fund gifts, Veteran and women shelter and some local charities but overall my donation is dropped 20%. The biggest reason is trust and bang for the buck of the other orangization.

What about your donation giving? Up or down

I will periodically donate to a local no kill animal shelter where we have gotten several of our cats. "Donations" are usually in the form of litter, wet food & dry food (for both cats & dogs).

I try to and WANT to but every time I go I get that "I went to the butcher and a blood donation happened" kind of feeling. Unfortunately, I drink a ton of coffee and it prohibits them from usually finding a good vein. They will start to take blood and I'll fill up a half a bag, or so, and then it's shuts down to a slow drip. When I'm done, my arm looks like it's met Ray Rice in an elevator.

I donate to Planned Parenthood and Ohio State.

I used to be a heavy blood donor to the American Red Cross(O+) but they ruined it for me when they would never stop calling about blood drives.

I have no idea how, but I have managed to dodge the phone calls. It's especially strange because I have the rarest blood type (AB neg). My dad has the same blood type and gets an insane amount of calls. I do try to donate as much as possible, but I passed out the last two times so now I am hesitant. #wah

I am on the Be the Match bone marrow registry, but only 1/540 go on the donate.

I volunteer at a local animal shelter, and have also done some work with Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish, and Adopt a Highway. I am definitely more likely to donate my time or goods than actual money.

It's funny. At work, we have blood drives every month and the company gives us a half day off for each donation. I'm a regular donor and always schedule an appointment, but every drive they promote the heck out of it, ask for as many volunteers as possible and then end up turning away dozens due to a lack of staffing.

I donate my wisdom to you sad-sacks everyday and yet none of you seem to really appreciate it.

I donate red blood cells a few times a year.

We help support my local church financially, and we donate newspaper, dog treats, and dog food to a local no-kill shelter.

In the past, I've donated to political causes and a few other charities, but I haven't done that lately, so I suppose the answer to your question is "down."

I give you credit for donating, but AB Neg is effectively worthless from a blood donor perspective. You can only transfer your blood to others who have AB-(universal receiver).

I don't donate anything because it encourages the acceptance of handouts.
