It really was an awesome movie watching experience. The trailers don't do the movie justice at all.

Anyone who wont see it based on the previews is missing out on so much. Dont feed me the "ill wait to rent it for cheaper" line either. It wont do it NEAR justice. It is the single greatest movie watching experience ever. The 3D, visual sights, animation, it is incredible.

The visuals look stunning, but the plot looks heinous.

The plot was nothing to write home about. I mean, it didnt have any twists or anything, but it certainly doesnt detract from the movie. Honestly though, the visuals in the previews arent anywhere close to what the movie is like in 3D.

Back to the plot. It really isnt terrible. Like I said, nothing earth shattering, but really isnt that bad.

Like I said before to those who didn't think this movie would be good. James Cameron never makes a bad movie. And he's about to break his own record (Titanic) at the box office.

People talking down on the plot and how it was "predictable" need to realize one thing that I have yet to see mentioned on here: THIS IS A TRILOGY. No shit the plot was pretty predictable. But I bet no one can predict where it goes from here--you can have ideas, some seem more obvious than others but they could go a lot of different ways now. This movie is GREAT, that's why it banked a billion in 17 days.

This movie was impressive for me, but the argument that Cameron has never made a bad film is flawed by one film:

Piranha II.

Please tell me that someone else has seen this trainwreck, haha.

I watched it Saturday and thought it was pretty good. The only problem with it was that my theater only shows it in 2D.....soooooo retarded.

I'll second that. I really expected to be dissapointed, but I came out of the movie a huge fan. I'm not sure how it will translate to a smaller screen, but I'm definitely going to get this when it comes out on DVD.

Is this the one where the piranhas have wings and can fly? If so, great flick...I enjoyed it, after all you never know when a bunch of fish will jump out of their pond and attack you for no reason.

Yep, I would seriously recommend the theaters (in 3D if possible) because you just dont know how good it will be outside the theaters.

Great Movie.
I'm usually not a fan of Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies, but this one was very enjoyable. The 2 1/2 hours flew by and I plan on seeing it again at an IMAX Theater. It was by far the best 2009 movie I've seen.
It definitely should be seen in 3D.

I haven't seen it and probably won't. I already hate spending so much money on a regular movie, I'm not going to pay extra just for 3D. Plus, I really can't stand going to the movies anymore. I have to have absolute silence when I watch a movie, I can't stand all the idiots in the theater talking or eating. Drives me crazy.

For those saying the plot is bad and predictable... well wasn't that the same case with Titanic? Everyone knew the damn boat was gonna sink.

Saw it in 3-D saturday. I was interested in it but was still a little skeptical. I can honestly say now that it is one of the top movies I've ever seen. EVER. It was amazing. Also, I didn't know it was a trilogy SQ. Is he really going to make 2 more? That will take years haha

^There are two more, and from what I've heard they're set to come out a year apart--so the next one may be next year. Don't forget they've been working on Avatar for YEARS. Just had to wait until the technology caught up with the vision.

Is Cameron attached to all of them?
