Video released today of the night he escaped. He's supposedly under 24-hour watch but that didn't stop this:
The sophisticated passageway was outfitted with electricity and ventilation pipes -- it even included a motorcycle, which likely ushered the Sinoloa cartel head through the mile-long corridor.
Not sure if Mexico looks more pitiful or corrupt.

Hanging out with Carmen San Diego?....I kid, I kid. ;)

I can't remember where I saw it on TV, but they were talking about and showing the HUNDREDS of tunnels that infiltrate the border along our southwestern border.... These are not rabbit holes either...pretty sophisticated.

It's definitely corruption. You can't just build a mile long tunnel with a fucking rail service directly into a god damn prison cell without corruption from the prison.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but these two Mexican guys at work were talking to me about this and they both think this was all planned. They think the President of Mexico needed a publicity "win" so he struck a deal with El Chapo and had him arrested for a year (when he was arrested last year it was at a motel and Chapo had no security with him, which obviously would never happen) before they would coordinate his escape. Both parties win as El Chapo's legacy gets even stronger with a second prison escape.

Again who knows if any of that is true but the main point they were trying to make was how corrupt the Mexican government is with their cartels.
