Going in to this season there were 4 players (still active this year) that hit 20+ Hr in at least the last 7 prior seasons.

Name them....(hint one of them is unlikely to do it this year)

Also, what player in MLB history had the most consecutive 20+ Hr seasons?

Hammerin' Hank had 20 straight years of 20 or more homers.

Would've been my guess. I assume Mays and Ruth are up there too. All of the guys above 500 would have needed quite a few consecutive seasons.

Hank is that one. Not sure anyone else was close to 20....seems like the next highest was 16 or 17 and not many beyond 14.

One thought from an old guy:

Back in the day, Aaron just kept piling on those numbers in the 1960's in the background while most people were going gaga over Mays.

Then comes the 70's and boom... Hank gets the spotlight.

Holliday is 3rd with 9....I think it ends this year.

Bruce only had 18 last year I think....Aramis had a injury year a few years back. Adrian is a no but I forget why. (Thought up and researched this a few days back)

The sleeper and 4th answer is Brian McCann with 7

LaRoche would've been another sleeper but had a crap/injury year in 2011 or close to there.

Nope....not per wording of the question. Cruz had 6 straight to start the year....now has 7 but does not fit for the question.
