Well doggone it, we dropped that Pirate series and are hanging in there as we near the All-Star break at 5 below .500.

It's a 4 game series versus the "Stros", which makes me thirsty thinking about Stroh's. A good old beer.

Anyhow, all four games start at 7:10 at The Jake aka Progressive Field at the corner of E. 9th and Carnegie.

Go Tribe.

If we go 5-2 the next seven games I'll think a lot more of this team's chances.

As bad as things look, they are still within striking distance for the wild card.....but if they are still 5 games or more below .500 at the All Star break, I'd expect some trades before the end of the month. They just can't give back that 5 game winning streak last week.

Wow, I just read that Kluber hasn't won a game since May 28. SMH

Kluber and Z Mc combine for 8 shutout.

Shaw on to try to close it down. Speculation that there might be something wrong with Allen. Hasn't pitched for 4 days and apparently isn't available.

2-0 Tribe. 1 down in the 9th.

ugh.... :(

Seems like you have to throw a shutout or a no hitter to win.

I'm planning to be down there tomorrow....wish me luck.

How the fuck did Gattis even hit that ball, let alone out?

Also, in the top of the 3rd...Bauer HAS to let that go. It hit the grass and was going foul. What an idiot.

That was the most ridiculous shift I've ever seen. (On Santana) the "3rd baseman" was only 10 feet from second base. The entire left side of the infield was open.

Blown opportunity in the B7, so now we dig in at 2-2.

Bauer pitching in the 8th. Hammy says Gomes has been like the Black Hawk goalie with his saves.

Bauer gives up a video game home run in the 1st and then goes the next 7 scoreless. 8 innings. 2 runs. Great outing. Should be an easy win but we will need late game herotics from the offense to win it.

On cue, the good guy, David Murphy comes up with a 2 run double.

Tribe lead 4-2 and still hitting in the 8th.

Murphy needs to play every day.. Against righties, lefties, submarine, over the top, between the legs, doesn't matter. Still SMH that Murphy sat while Santana played in Pittsburgh. Tito can be a dufus at times.

Allen on to try to close it. Not sure why he wasn't available or didn't pitch yesterday. I didn't listen to Tito's presser yesterday.
