He had a higher shooting percentage than Lebron did in his rookie season from both the field and from 3. Sure the advanced stats weren't too pretty but he also was on the wing on a terrible team and still averaged 17 & 5 while shooting 44% from the field and he just turned 20. I don't think it'll take a whole lot of wishing with someone like WigginsHighRoller74;1736286 wrote:No, just no.
You trade an unknown player, for a player the caliber of Kevin Love 10/10.
You guys don't seem to agree him being a top 10 player, but I don't think you'd argue top 20. There is no guarantee Wiggins is ever that good. Can he get there? Sure. But he was poor on defense this season, and that was supposed his calling card. Also, he can't shoot....like at all. Nor can he dribble. Going by the PER Efficiency ratings, he was actually a below league average player last season. You and others fall in love with his "upside" and sure he's got a high ceiling, but you don't waste the tail end of LBJ's prime hoping and wishing on Wiggins development.
Unless Love leaves this offseason or next. Then you'd be right. But I"m taking love at his word.
