I like the move to put Lindor in the 2 spot. Hopefully he can provide a nice spark to this offense

I expect another sweep. Pitching sucks and our bats have gone silent.

Too much, too early for the youngster...(I hope I'm wrong)...but Santana is just too inconsistent and doesn't have enough bat control to hit there for my liking. I'd like to see Kip and Brantley back to back even though they are both LH.

Game has been postponed due to severe storms......to be made up 8/24.

Looks like this will be a one game series....before heading to CLE for two games Wednesday and Thursday.

The Cubs are one of the better teams to watch in the NL, ridiculously young but Russell can glove it at 2nd, Bryant can hit, Soler is unfortunately hurt....Rizzo is a top 10 offensive player in MLB and can pick it.

Guys you overlook like Montero and Coghlin seem to always kill you.

I think ink they are a year away from big things.

I'll also add it's criminal that top 15 OPS Kipnisis well behind .497 OPS Infante of the famed Royals

Of course, but you know as well as I, that this is nothing more than the all star injustice(s) that occurs yearly when the fans pick.

35 votes? Really? It's WTFness waiting to happen, and invariably it does happen every year. I've have no doubt that Kip will make the team as a reserve...but probably the guy just behind him won't make the team because of it. All Star starters(including pitchers) should be picked by their peers, reserves by all the managers after the players have picked, and the fans allowed to make 3-6 at-large selections from the guys who haven't already been named.
Supposedly the present method is "for the fans", but all it does is piss off the biggest and most knowledable fans by insulting their intelligence.

I can hardly believe that a little bit before my time, they let the fans vote. By mail? wtf

I think I remember those punch card ballots.

Maybe... We just handed them in at games?

Anyhow....on line voting is stupid.

Go back to the old old days.

Honestly I think he will thrive hitting between kipnis and Brantley. Teams are going to go after Lindor and he has the talent to make them pay and he can reck havoc on the bases as well. I love the move honestly. Similar to when we brought drubs up in 07

^^^^I think the 2 hole will be a good place for him eventually, just not sure that it won't be too much pressure hitting up in that spot right now.

No offense, but you are too old school in this approach.

The best talent shouldn't waste away in AAA regardless of #s, and they should waste away in the 7-9 slot when promoted.

^^^What can I say? I am 'old school' and I'm just going by what I've seen over 50 years of watching/playing baseball and listening to interviews by guys who go thru the process. There's a pretty big monkey on your back when you first come up, and it's even a bigger one when there are so many expectations. The anxiousness can be overwhelming, and was evidenced by Lindor's 'swan dive' , 'sniper shot', or whatever you want to call his legs getting tangled rounding first after his first hit. I've seen that exact same thing happen at different levels of ball....the new player so anxious to make a good impression that they lose physical coordination. I'm not saying that you leave Lindor down in the order for long....just long enough for him to get comfortable and to realize that he can play at this level. The Tribe has done a pretty good job at bringing him along and not rushing it. There is no sense in pushing right now.

Lindor seems like a kid who will thrive under all that. I really believe he will be a beast in the 2 hole and will jump start this offense with the way he can run and put the ball in play. Not to mention his defense is a huge upgrade

Reminded me of junior whenever he hit his first home run...think he was 11 or so. All Star tourney and he was just waving the stick in game one and I chewed on his ass between games. The first pitch in game 2 he went yard and missed first base and had to go back and retouch...then he missed third base and his coach grabbed him and pulled him back to the bag. LOL.

Switching back and forth between the Tribe and the Cavs.....Tribe now hammering the Cubs 6-0, now in the 9th. Lindor has figured prominently in the scoring of the last 3 runs. Carlos Santana started it off by drilling a 3 run HR scoring Kip and Brantley

Solid game last night. Caught a good bit of Hammy. He was on fire. He made a joke about the Blackhawks not letting Jay Cutler touch the Stanley Cup because they were worried about him throwing it to the other team.

Bauer was solid. Got his first big league knock and was sharp on the hill.
