health is the key factor for everyone but Arod. I always thought Pujols legs would keep him from 700+...Stanton may see a similar career or power, but I fear injuries from playing RF. Harper is doing much better not playing like his hair is on fire but I still see hustle type injuries and not as much health as Trout.

Also slightly off topic, Tim Kurkjian was on the radio yesterday saying that when his career is over Albert Pujols will be viewed as the 2nd greatest 1B of all time behind Lou Gehrig. I think Pujols might have an argument of greatest 1B of all time.

Pujols and Arod already have theirs in their pocket. IMO you have to factor the chance for injury in a prediction like this, and outfielders have a greater chance of injury... In much the same way as Griffey Jr 's numbers suffered. I think Stanton or Trout have a chance to be top, but they'll have to avoid injury and that takes a little luck.

Don't think Tommy Harper hit that many.

Pujols had 201 at the end of his age 25 season....had 250 at end of age 26 season.

With this info, I have a hard time seeing Stanton surpass Pujols. I am a huge Pujols fan, but when he was going on his tear I had the same thoughts about how he will be unstoppable and get to 700 HR easily. It just seems these guys turn into humans very quickly at the flip of the switch if they aren't taking PEDs. I still think he should be considered the greatest 1B of all time.

Stanton is likely to be right at 200 HR at age 25 by the end of this season.

Interestingly Pujols just surpassed Gehrig in at bats earlier in May. Gehrig has him in most categories and has a nice gap in OPS and OPS+.....Gehrig still has him by 70 extra base hits and 400 RBI. I have to have Gehrig 1 and Pujols 2 but it is closer than I first thought.
