Been thinking about it. Anyone do this? Is there a monthly fee? Don't they ship you 1-trunk a month for free... and if you don't keep anything you can return it free of charge?!?!

What's to stop people from getting the trunk of clothes/shoes... deciding what you like... and then going directly to the name-brand store and buying it direct?

If anyone uses Trunk Club, general thoughts/comments????

I know a few people who use it and like it. Nothing stops you from doing that, but I think the service is targeted at people who don't want to go to the store.

Reminds me of the ole tape/cd of the month club. Dont like it...you can ship it back and not pay.

.....but then you forget to send them back and, well...start with shit ya didnt want.

I have a few friends who have tried it. They got some really nice stuff. I may give it a go one day, but I'm really selective when shopping for clothes.

I feel if I got that, I would be buying shit I really don't need. Maybe I'll be a regular one day when I start making Tiernan money.

Haven't tried the trunks, but I did go to their headquarters for a face to face experience a couple years ago. Their clothes were nice, just not my cup of tea. The free booze was great though.

Overall, it's a service marketed to guys who just don't have time to shop. The stuff they provide isn't really exclusive or hard to attain if you have good local shopping either. Oh, and the clothes are expensive. At least the ones I tried on. I ended up buying the cheapest thing I could find which was a $35 polo shirt. Most of the items were right in line with prices at Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom ($100 jeans, $80 button down shirts, $200 jackets and sweaters).

Maybe I'm bias because I've been into men's fashion for a while, but I didn't find the service useful for me. The process reminded me of a situation where a stereotypical schlub lets his fashionista wife dress him up, even though she has no concept of menswear.

Let me get this straight...some Co. sends you various clothing items they think you might want? Jesus how fkng lazy can you be that you can't at least shop online for shit you actually want? Another dumbass idea that works because the world is full of dumbasses.

Nah...they have brands from the higher end department stores (Sak's, Nordstrom, Macy's, etc.), and then they'll mix in some boutique places like Jack Spade or Bonobos

I've done it - most of the items are really expensive and out of my budget for what i'd pay for clothes. $60 t shirt? No thanks.
