Will be interesting to see what candidates emerge. I imagine they will at least send a feeler out to Randy Montgomery.

Should be interesting. Wooster in my opinion has greatly underachieved in the last few year. Wooster needs to get this hire right, and in my opinion Randy Motgomery would be a terrible choice. I know that some in Wayne County hold him in high regard, but I think his time has passed. Wooster is a solid job at a big school. This job should get some pretty good candidates and Wooster needs someone that can build a program.

Would Snowbarger or Alberts have any interest in the position?

I think they will hire someone from outside the area with no prior ties to Wooster.
From what I was told a few years ago, Snowbarger is done coaching while raising his children.
CC...does Wooster have some talent coming up in the younger grades?

Two things, 1. Alberts is not going anywhere. He is loaded at Northwestern the next two year. Might be the best teams he has had. 2. Wooster does have some talent coming up. Freshman team finished second in the league, they do have some big shoes to fill, but lack of talent should never be a huge problem at Wooster.

Name I've read about is former West Holmes coach Jim Lindeman. Young coach with huge amount of energy. Already shown he can build a program with what he did at West Holmes going from 1-20 his first year to 18-7 his last with many sectional championship and district appearances. His style of play will fit at Wooster, and knowns all the OCC teams very well coaching in the league for 4 years! If Alberts is not interested why not hire his top assistant before he left for the WH job.

What a tangled occupation. Lindeman leaves West Salem and takes a job at West Holmes Schools and coaches. Martin takes a job in Wooster Schools and coaches. After showing success each season, Lindeman is run out but still needs to work so he keeps his job in West Holmes schools. West Holmes hires Troyer to be there new coach. HE just happened to be run out at Berlin Hiland as the coach but keeps working in the Hiland School district. After 7 or so years on the job Martin is forced out but appears to be staying at his job with the Wooster Schools. Now Lindeman may be looking to be the next coach at Wooster. Will he keep the teaching job at West Holmes or does Wooster have a social studies opening?

Reason? Or just time to move on?

I would not be surprised if Snowbarger ends up being offered the job. Snow taking the job would have to be on his terms, but I am hearing he is the front runner at this point.

Snowbarger is a good selection. Hopefully we can still beat the Riders at least once a year now that they're bolting the OCC.
