Going to be a classic opening day barn burner. Reds lose 1-0 in 17 innings when Bruce launches it into the stands behind 3b while trying to throw someone out.

Ready lose 6-2. Cutch with 4 in-the-park homers. His new haircut helps his aerodynamics and he flies around the bases.

Assuming Cueto is starting, you guys should win this one. Has to be the playoffs for the Pirates to hit him, and this is as far from that time of the season as possible. Usually takes until May for the bats to heat up to true ML capacity.

While I dont mind Votto in the 2 hole, I am not sure if Frasier can handle the 3 spot, but we will see.

Nice lineup. Problem is, when you list the other 16 on the 25-man roster. Pathetic.

Reds may win today, but call me pessimistic.

Holy shit! Great play by Frazier and a great stretch by Votto to get Cutch. So pretty.

Probably. Game is being shown on the local CBS affiliate here in Cincy.

Anyone have the stopwatch on Cueto's time to first base on that walk? Jesus, took him forever to get there.

Lol is that not the most perfect way for the Reds first run of the season?

Anything Johnny does other than pitch looks like an accident waiting to happen. His last pitch of any inning may be the last one we see him throw in a Reds uniform. When he walked, I thought the best strategy would be for Billy to bunt, but Johnny trying to aggressively get to 2nd might result in an injury, so just replacing Johnny with Billy at 1B by giving up an out like what happened was probably just as good.

Yes, their runs in this game so far are typical of the Reds recent past -- gifts from the defense or solo HRs.

Geesh..only the home town fans would find a problem with having a 2-0 lead in the 5th!

After 4 batters in the season and two great outfield catches by the Reds, the bullpen has its first blown save, negating Cueto's stellar 7 innings and 2-0 lead!
