Canton has hired Reardon to be their new coach. McKinley has always played the role of little brother in Stark County, but they have been completely dominated in recent years. Last year, they brought Thom McDaniels in to be the savior of Canton football. After only year, McDaniels resigned because he does not feel that they can even be competitive with Massillon. How long will Reardon last? How long into the game until we have to go to continuous clock this year?

Canton plays little brother to Massillon. We have a large lead in the overall series.

Don't get worried. We still dominate you even more. You have won 5 times in 50 attempts against us. Nice to see that you dropped us for an easier game.

canton is no little brother to massillon and the series is close for as long as it's been going on .. steubenville played massillon for the most part during not so good years until recently and now the new series is 4 against 2 for massillon .. if steubenville and massillon had played in the 80's on up steubenville would have 20 more wins because the best years steubenville ever had they did not play massillon ... by the way both canton and steubenville have 3 state titles on the field and warren g harding has one or two as welll so see you soon and another note north canton hoover is 0 for 3 against steubenville and has only a state runner up in 84 if i am correct......

pss i have respect for massillon

We have a 16 game advantage in the series with McKinley. They are our little brother. We would have dominated Big Red in 80's. They were afraid to play us. They have dropped us again. They only schedule us when they think they can compete. Even with cherry-picking when they play us, they have only beaten us 10% of the time.

the 5 decades that big red was most successful big red did not play massillon but maybe one time the 20s 30s 80s 90s 00s thats 50- some years and 8 state titles for steubenville.. not a chance in hell massillon would have dominated steubenville in the 80s ..but then again it's all conjecture and massillon people can call bull and they have that right because they have dominated big red ... we can't play games that never happened ... it's just opinions and like other things opinions don't matter much ... when hoover wins a state title maybe then you can get some bragging points..

Why does Big Red keep dropping us? There is no way you would have beaten us during those years. We were national champions in many of those years. In the 80s, we had Speilman. How could you possibly compete against a guy on the Wheaties box?

When is the last time Massillon won anything of significance?

Week 10 against McKinley. That is the only high school that the entire nation follows. We drove McDaniels into retirement after only one season.

It was a combination of things. We ended our combine a year too early. We have been the victim of several miracle upsets this season.

Reardon wanted the Massillon job but had to settle for the Canton job. FACT.

Before he got the Canton job, while his application was still being considered by Massillon, he said....And I quote, "there is no other job in the country that compares to this."

If he did, it was as a Massillon Tiger. Conventional wisdom says his dad was transferred here for work (Diebold), but I think it was another Thayer situation. He came from a pretty rough part of Oregon. Things were so bad he was riding to school in a 2006 Mercedes.

We are the Mecca of high school football. If we are honest, every kid dreams of playing here. I have no idea why others want to bad mouth a kid and a family for improving their situation. What business of theirs is it if we throw in a job for the parents?

Mecca of "HIGH SCHOOL" football?

Mecca of ALL football.

Not every kid dreams of playing here, just the ones who know about us....Which, yeah I guess it is pretty much every kid.

I agree with your comment about parents and bettering their situation. Parochials have been using these types of things to their advantage for years, it's about time we do too.
