Looking forward to what's in store for this next football season. I heard a rumor that Bailey Breitenstine may be transferring to Copley... That would sure shake up the landscape of the league! Will be interesting to see what all develops this summer heading into next year!

Hhaven't heard anything down here in Smithville about Breitenstine. other then hes not playing baseball this year.

in the two passing camps they had with wooster and then triway and loundonville... they looked very good... they wiped the floor with wooster.. like 15 td to maybe 3 or 4 for wooster.. mind u its just 7 on 7.. the one at triways was on more equal terms for all 3 teams... we should have a good year... and they should barring injuries be a contender.

Another site has the WCAL as one of the best small school leagues in the state this year. Hopefully everyone stays healthy and we can see a deep run this year!

Mogadore took it to Chippewa in a scrimmage last night. 13-7 in a half of play and Mogadore controlled the game.

I have heard Chippewa and Waynedale are the favorites going in. Smithville & Hillsdale are also outside shots to compete for the county title. I believe it will be a fun and interesting year in the WCAL once again.

The chipps, bears and smithies would be my preseason picks, probably in that order. Hillsdale and norwayne should be in the mix as well. Then I would probably go Dalton, northwestern, rittman.

my guess is the chips then the smithies with hillsdale and waynedale contenting as well.... i feel smithville would have beat waynedale last year had they not been missing 3 very key starters.... but injurys and kids being suspended are part of high school football... good luck to all.. and LET GO SMITHVILLE!!!!!
