Any poker player in the OC?
Do you play on line or at local type events?

I play poker but not an expert, last night I play with a group of guys. Walked away with almost $500.00 bucks. No skill involved ... The cards just keep coming (in the zone) some of the guys got pissed but I was feeling great. Love the idea of taking money from lawyers... :)

Used to play a lot but haven't in a while. The drive to the casino is what keeps me from playing

I love poker but not into hold em. Love playing 5, 6, and 7 card stud. Dont find to many games like that since the poker boom. I like dealer choice as well.

I played a lot during the poker craze when ESPN started to broadcast it. Our HS cafeteria was practically an illegal casino. A couple of my friends were suspended for gambling. It wasn't rare to have a 50 person poker tournament every other weekend.

I enjoy a good game of Euchre but Pinochle I like more, if I can find anyone to play Cribbage that a great game also.

Same here. Early to mid 2000s played a lot with friends every single weekend. Played in a couple local tournaments with no success. Played online a little bit before it became illegal. haven't really played since then.

I used to play a lot of Euchre. It has become boring to me these days. If playing a game of trump, I turn to Wizard. If you like Euchre, you have to try Wizard. Blows it out of the water and you can play with 3-6 people.

As for poker, Texas Hold Em is what I will play for decent money. In a friendly low stakes home game, I may call Omaha Hi Lo but I haven't found a place that spreads that game and I don't play poker online. Omaha Hi Lo is a fun game.

Poker is the easiest game ever. The strategy that will work well for your home games is to play very aggressive and only play strong starting hands. If I play a hand, I never limp in unless its a free hands(big blind for example) and am always raising. Your friends will hate you for it but the reality is the only way to consistently win is to make people pay for playing hands with poor odds of winning.

If you live in columbus, shark tank poker club spreads Omaha Hi/Lo usually once or twice a week.

Professionals would destroy me. The reality is my tactics work against 90% of players are complete trash and just want to "play" poker. That's why my strategy works; it exploits people who have no fundamental concept of how the game actually works. The only downside to winning every time you play is people stop inviting you.

Had Holdem tourneys over at Tbones house quite a bit in high school. Fun times. Not a big fan of cash games anymore but the local Casino has multiple tournaments a day and I usually play a couple per month.
