He basically rebuilt a Minster team, who won state this season. Then went to LaSalle, and won state there.

Now he is trying to conquer the biggest feat in Ohio. Unfortunately for him it seems like that position is more than just becoming a football coach. He is using it as a stepping stone to get to the next level. If he can win in Massillon he will be off to college, or the browns, soon after.

Our old HS coach almost took the Massillon job a few years ago, and then came to his senses. Thankfully.

If he wins a few national championships here (adding on to our national record of 9) and moves on, I could understand that. Paul Brown, Vince Lombardi, Woody Hayes, and Bill Walsh all were great at the high school level before moving on.

Technically, they recruited his son and nephew, currently about 5 and 10 respectively, the only way to get them was to give the dad a coaching job.

He doesn't come without his wife. Sorry if that is confusing to you. I know money is very tight in Steubenville, and you get jealous of the way that we can through around money since we are the Best Team that Money Can Buy.

Steubenville teachers and coaches get paid very well and the school system down here is far better that from where you are from.
We had the governor make the state of the state address a few years ago because two of our schools were in the top 5 of the state and the one he spoke at was #1. Believe it or not Steubenville city schools is one of the top public school systems in the USA.

Those were elementary schools. The score go down dramatically at the high school level because all of the West Virginia kids are brought in for football.

Not true. Also I might add Steubenville city schools have always been in the black. They pay more than any other school system around so therefore they keep teachers longer . We pass every single levy . Most school districts in our area fail every levy . As far as football goes . I would be glad to take any kid that wants to come into the district from anywhere . Not ashamed of it. Places like the top catholic schools live by it and they would be nothing without recruiting. Fact is though not many kids from other districts come to Steubenville just to play football. Not sure if we have any this year but if so good.

it is actually a form of theft for Nate Moore to take $85,000 to perform the duties of a full time "athletic director" and let someone else do the work.

that's what Brian Pachis, the "Assistant Athletic Director" does. "the work"

It wont be long Massillon will be Div V people are trying to get out of here as fast as they can.

the place is a hot mess.

Moore is running the program. Pachis is doing some of the busy work, but it is Moore's program to run. He is paid well compared to most high schools, but he is expected to bring home our 10th national championship. If he fails to do that, we will find someone who can.

He is being paid to perform the duties of Athletic Director : not "run the program" which is blather and drivel that means nothing.

He is essentially a thief, but is of course not alone in corruption on the BOE and in Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club Inc which is the definition of corruption

And send me some of that stuff you're smoking: Massillon can never and will never be in competition for a "national championship" in anything but lying and thieving.

Massillon is not competitive: in anything. Massillon is not even competitive in Div 2 tournament and will probably lose 5 games this year.

The job of the athletic director is to put the team in position to win championships. The job of the coach is to follow through and win those championships. Those jobs are connected. By having one person do both, it saves our school district on some benefits.

Only idiots think that "the job of the athletic director is to put "the team" in a position to win championships" because by definition, only one team in each division can win "a championship" and the purpose of the activity (ANY extracurricular) is education.

ONLY a TRUE idiot whose school district has TWO Athletic Directors, makes the statement: "By having one person do both, it saves our school district on some benefits."

Massillon full of true idiots.

Here is what happened to Massillon

http://peoplenotpolitics.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-destruction-of-infrastructure-of.html

The "feeder system" of recruitment and training of the talent, which had been in place since the 1930s, was destroyed.
