Yea, that fucktard McShay doesn't even have Clausen in the top 32 in the Scouts Inc ESPN rankings. I seriously hope they let the guy go after this year when he has a bad case of Fail & AIDs and Clausen is picked in the early to mid 1st round.

As for Locker, from what I hear, people are pimping him so much because he has NFL size and his offense in Washington is a pro style offense. Personally, I hope the browns don't worry about WR in this years draft because next year is going to be the deepest WR class since 1995-1996.

Clausen has the potential to fall out of the early 1st round and even the mids if a couple teams go in a different direction. It has happened before so I wouldn't say it would be a stretch to see him fall.

Guess it depends on who you ask. A few have said that Clausen wasn't all that impressive in his Pro Day.
Everybody on NFL Network had a raging hard-on for Clausen's pro day performance. That's all I saw so that's why I said what I did. They showed clips of him yesterday and he did seem to do well. Made every kind of throw, showed his arm strength, etc.

You could probably say that about Ben but he has good intangibles when the game is played. There's a difference sometimes between the two.

This is true, we had a player who was a complete tool and doosh bag off the field but when on the field his demeanor seemed to turn off and he was in complete game mode.

This is true but you have to consider their impact when healthy.

Let's say Berry is awesome for six of the next eight years. Two of the years he's banged up and standing on the sidelines but the other six he's a Pro Bowl player, making a lot of highlight plays, and the defense is consistently tough.

I still think that's worth it.

For example if Polamalu's career ended right now, the Steelers wouldn't say that was a bad pick and wouldn't wish they could go back and do it over. He's made enough of an impact, even with the injuries, to confirm that move up.

The synopsis in The Sporting News draft guide seems to be describing a different player: "Handles himself well, especially considering the pressure and crazy expectations he experienced at Notre Dame. Shows good leadership skills and takes command of the huddle."
Definitely hearing some conflicting reports.

It was mentioned that Clausen did a sit-down interview with Todd McShay who has been very critical of Jimmy. Adam Schefter even put on his Twitter that was a pretty big move/gesture on Clausen's part. Also, Clausen's pro day on Friday included former teammates Golden Tate, Robby Parris, James Aldridge and David Grimes. I'm guessing that if he really rubbed him the wrong way....they would not have helped out with that. Can't say for sure but that's been mentioned too.

There are plenty of really great/ HOF safeties that hardly ever got hurt. Larry Wilson, Jack Tatum, Ronnie Lott, Paul Krause to name a few. Course the younger crowd doesn't remember these dudes. But they could all cover and they could all hammer.

Just think they were tougher back in the day. Guys didn't get paid as much and didn't want to lose their roster spot. Guys like Polamalu or Sanders "tweak" their hammy and they are out 3-4 weeks. You'd NEVER see that back in the day. Not saying Troy & Bob aren't great players, just not as tough/stupid(?) as the old timers.

Jack Tatum only played 10 years. 1971-1980

He made all of those crushing hits and highlights in a short time frame, mostly from like 1973-1977.

Huh? Tatum was a beast every year he played. 10 years is pretty damn good.
