This.

Probably would be wise to consider his QBs, as well.

i wouldnt call Robiskie a bust , i think he somehow got in mangini's dog house. thus limiting his reps and playing time.

Too early to consider Robiskie a bust but he WAS a major reach. That whole 2nd round was a clusterfuck. They passed on several better players to get MoMass, Robo & Veikune.

The Veikune selection REALLY pisses me off in that we could have had our RT for the next 10 years in Phil Loadholt when the Vikes picked him 2 spots later.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that as the Browns get better on offense MoMass will be a top ten receiver in the NFL. People keep bringing up that he cant be a no 1 receiver because of lack of burner speed. Its not about speed, its about seperation and he has that. The kid ave 18.6 yds a catch last year just trying to learn the ropes of being an NFL receicer. On a shit offense to boot. How many other NFL teams had a rookie as their No1 reciever? NONE. This kid is going to be good. ROBO has the tools and brains to get it...but so far hasnt. I agree with some that its way to early to say he's a bust.

Considering the talent at WR in the NFL, I hope you don't weigh a lot because I think that "limb" will break and you'll come crashing to the ground. I think he "could" be a serviceable possession receiver but definitely not elite.

Thats your opinion and that fine but until we put the pieces together to build our offense completely its hard to tell what we have. For a rookie playing as the no 1 wr I think he did very well.

A good example of a young wr with talent around him is Sidney Rice. His first season in the NFL he had 31 rec and season 2 he had 15. He broke out this year playing on a team with many weapons. An interview with Brett F after a playoff win Brett was asked about Rice. He said "Sidney isnt the fastest guy around but he knows how to get open and with the people around him on this offense he does a great job".
Just sayen lets see what happens with more weapons around him. Dont know how long that will take though.:s

I must have missed the part of the season when Robiskie was our #1.

a) he never was the #1 receiver

and

b) I wouldn't say his lofty 7 receptions for 106 yards was playing "well."

Came to light this morning that the Gocong rumors are true and the Browns are interested in acquiring him. They are also trying to work out a deal for Rob Sims but want him for less than the value of the 5th round tender which makes sense. Dude was drafted in the 4th round.

BR, I believe you've got it wrong. Sims was tendered at the 4th round and the Browns are trying to get him for less (likely one of their 5ths).

Seahacks want a 4th, Browns willing on a 6th possibly 5th, which, considering he's being held out of participation seems more realistic to me.

Brainfart. I know they tendered him at the 4th and was going to type the 4th but for some reason my dumb ass typed 5th. That's the sticking point. They want to give up a 5th or a later rounder. Guy may be flat out released.

Eagles were looking for a third-round pick, while the Browns were countering with a fifth or sixth.

Tebow would be a terrible pick in the second round.

Back to Gocong. He is the NCAA all-time leader in sacks and had 42 between his junior & senior year. He was projected as a stud OLB prospect for the 3-4, then the Eagles drafted him for their 4-3. He then lost his reputation as a "sackmaster" (only 4 sacks in 4 years in Philly) and suddenly became good at stopping the run. I think he's in the wrong scheme.

If they pursue him, I think it will be for his run stopping ability (Wimbley sucked at this) and in hopes that his pass rushing prowess will return.

Yeah, he would be just horrible in the 2nd round.

That would be a roll of the dice.

Haden and Tebow would be a nice start for Cleveland.
