I only see desperation as motive to sign any of those three, too old worn out and projected as un productive. Might as well take a flyer on a rook given their age.

Nice to see the Browns miss out on Thomas Jones because they wouldnt pony up the money.

Are they going to sign anybody with any kind of value to this team?

Too small. He makes Steinbach look like Andre Smith in stature.
Steinbach is 4" taller and only has him by 5lbs.
290 lbs is too small for what the Browns are looking to do on the O-Line. Steinbach was in jeopardy of being traded/released because he's too light in the britches.

Most people consider not ponying up loads of cash for a soon to be 32 year old running back a smart move.

There is a better than 50% chance his numbers will fall by half next year. When you're his age it doesn't slowly go, it falls off a cliff. Thomas Jones is only a man, and he is not immune to father time.

I am happy the Browns passed, as he has at most 1 more productive year in him. Since they won't be going to the Super Bowl regardless, better to look to the future.

I'm with you, Iggy. Didn't want Jones from the start. I'd rather grab a young guy at the top of the 2nd round.

Wouldnt want a guy who ran for 1300 yards and 12 Touchdowns with 7 100 yard games.

We wouldnt want a guy like that on the team, but do want somebody who ended the year on the IR.

Real impressive start so far for Holmgren and company.

He also ran behind arguably the BEST offensive line in football, which we DON'T have. The Browns O-Line should be good this year but not as good as the Jets.

These guys hit a wall and when they do it's downhill FAST. It happened to Shaun Alexander, Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, etc. it will happen to Jones too.

We brought in some decent guys. If you expected them to try to build a team through free agency then you are sadly mistaking.

Yeah this was a pretty weak free agent class in the first place, so expecting to build an entire team through FA is dumb thinking...

HaHa You clown fans are singing a different tune now arent ya! A week ago you were getting erections on all the possible FA signings. The simple fact is that nobody wants to come to Cleveland. Seneca Wallace? Are you kidding me? What a joke!
In the mean time Walrus is at the all you can eat buffet counting his money. LOL.

you don't build a winner through FA, you build it through the draft.

Former Browns quarterback Derek Anderson, cut on Tuesday by the team, ripped Cleveland fans via an e-mail sent to Jeff Schudel of the News-Herald.

"The fans are ruthless and don't deserve a winner," Anderson said. "I will never forget getting cheered when I was injured. I know at times I wasn't great. I hope and pray I'm playing when my team comes to town and [we] roll them."

Capone.. The Browns have more championships than the Steelers. And dont give me that shit about championships not counting before the super bowl era. If the steelers had any of them i guarantee you would count them.
