Sour Grapes regarding the Steelers

I know we will see it on numerous threads on the forum so I decided I would create a thread for all the Steeler - haters to whine. I personally am a Steeler fan who feels that the Steelers really don't deserve to make the playoffs this season. However, with their current lead over the Dolphins at 24-10 and the Texans trailing the Patriots 20-13, it looks like the Steelers might have a fighting chance. If the Raiders can beat the Ravens or the Bengals could beat the Jets, Pittsburgh will earn a wildcard spot. So let's hear all the complaints of how the NFL is fixed and the refs purposely will do all they can to get the Steelers into the playoffs. I'm sure there will be plenty of excuses that the commissioner called and told Matt Schaub to throw an interception returned for a touchdown or the NFL put something in the Jets water later tonight that made them play bad. Fact of the matter is, I think it looks ridiculous when people accuse the NFL of being rigged. So let's hear it and i'll sit back and laugh :)

so if the current scores hold, the Steelers need just one of either the Jets or Ravens to lose?

In that scenario I believe Denver would also have to lose.

if this holds up, they'll only need either the Jets or Ravens to lose

not over yet though, I think the Texans will rally and make it a nailbiter

Pittsburgh holds the tiebreaker over Denver......If Pittsburgh wins, Houston loses, and the Jets lose to the Bengals, the Steelers will be in.

Steelers will never beat the Patriots though

their defense won't get off the field against Brady

they would need Denver to win and Baltimore and Jets to lose

then it would be Denver at NE and Pitt at Cincy

Hahaha......I was born in Youngstown, Ohio and graduated from Poland Seminary High School in Ohio. I currently live in Washington, PA and am finishing up my degree in chemistry at Washington and Jefferson College. My favorite college team is the Buckeyes, favorite MLB team is whoever Ken Griffey Jr. plays for :) I am a fan of the Braves as well mainly because they were televised on TBS every day when I was a kid. My favorite NBA team is probably the Bulls haha Grew up watching the Jordan era and stuck with them even through all the really bad years recently. Call me a front-runner if you will :)

I love it when people grew up in Ohio, (I realize the imaginary line is somewhere around the Ygst. area), cheer for the Bucks on saturdays, then on sundays, turn around and cheer for the steelers. It's laughable to be honest.

I'm not sure about that. I thought in a 3 team race the team with the best division record wins the tie breaker, which would be Denver if they win.

1) Steelers win and Houston loses or ties, and New York Jets lose or tie.

2) Steelers win and Houston loses or ties and Baltimore loses or ties.

3) Steelers win and New York Jets lose or tie and Baltimore loses or ties and Denver loses or ties.

This is how the Steelers can make it in the playoffs

Same thing with Toledo and the Lions/Bucks.

Any team that lost to Cleveland, KC, and Oakland has no business making the playoffs. It's a shame they are even still eligible.

Pitts is toast with Houston winning. Pitts should worry about beating Miami anyways right now.

Skank....you're laughable. Pittsburgh is 50 minutes from where I live and Cleveland is an hour and a half from where I live. I like to believe that my decisions growing up of who to cheer for were very educated. I'll take the best of both worlds living on the very eastern edge of Ohio. I love the Buckeyes, but only a dumby would cheer for the Browns. Sorry, but I like to cheer for a team that actually gives me something to cheer about. The Browns were the laughable ones so naturally I watched the Steelers instead.

It is still possible for the Steelers, but the window is closing.

Wouldn't Pitt be closer to you to root for than the Buckeyes?

From Where you live NOW? Because if you mean from where you grew up, I think we have a directional problem. Also, if you live so close to Pittsburgh, why not cheer for the Panthers instead of the Buckeyes?
And in the catagory of "poetic justice"....it's spelled dummy. Your decisions of who to cheer for while growing up were not educated at all, they were based simply on jumping on a bandwagon. Your last two sentences give you away as a bandwagon jumper.

I think things might break for Houston to get in for the first time.

They would need two of the three teams to lose between Denver, Baltimore and the Jets
