If you get a political thread in the serious business forum and you aren't sure it fits the rules in the politics forum, you can move it to the politics forum, select the thread with the checkbox on the far right, then go down to your thread options and select "unapprove thread". One of us will then see the thread and approve it or make corrections as needed.

The ONLY reason this pisses me off, is tha Ernest_T_Bass has said multiple times that he refuses to post political threads in the politics forum because he doesn't want to follow the rules.

Ya, I saw the one you reported over and just moved it over, I didn't bother unapproving since I figured you wanted it moved so it was ok.

The thread about choice/born gay, I was wondering if that should be moved or not.

I don't really see how that one is political. If you guys want it over there for the stricter rules that's fine.

I agree that it is not political in nature... but I the topic itself is a bit more serious and would fit better in the politics section.

Up to you guys who have to currently deal with it.

Also, I would warn ernest, he is going to keep circumventing the rules if his threads keep going a few hours before moved. He has said that he starts them there so he can get instant gratification.

I sent him a warning when I moved the thread... he tried to play dumb.

Because I wanted to get some responses a lot quicker, and technically, "approval" from you (the moderator of the politics forum) is what I would need, before I could get actual responses to this thread.

Also, and I didn't mention this in my original post, there is more traffic on this forum. So, it was an argument/inquiry that I wanted more people to see.

It isn't really "political" but it could belong in the political forum. If it is moved there, it doesn't bother me one bit. But, since I wanted to see people's opinions quicker, I started it in the Serious Business forum.

Yes, I said "approval." Is that not what I have to have, in order for a thread to go through on the politics forum? I wasn't waiting for approval of the thread topic, but of the thread itself.
I think this should be enough evidence that if he does it again it's a ban.

I am going to send him a warning that if he tries to pull this again, he will be banned from the political forum. So then he REALLY won't be able to post his threads
