Lame. Especially him basically begging to be roasted. Used to be you had to have accomplishments before you were roasted, as it is a sign of respect.

That's what they are now, not what they used to be. But I always thought roasts were generally by people you've spent a career with as friends and colleagues.

The roast of Bog Saget remains my favorite. Even Bob Saget, one of the most vile comedians there is, seemed shocked by some of what he heard.
Anthony Jeselnik would be a perfect addition for this particular roast, as he would definitely mean every last dark word.
