I think the dude needs to take a hiatus from performing to find himself. He seems to be one of those "on the edge" guys who's one step from a major trainwreck at all times.

Howard always talks like Artie is so obese but in all reality he isn't that big. I mean yeah the dude is obese but he is no where near the fat ass Howard makes him out to be. I guess compared to a dude Howard's size anyone is obese lol

I read Arties book and it just seems that he could never kick the habit for good and he could never hold off his demons for a long period of time. Its ashame as Artie really does have a kind heart, I remember when Artie,Gary, Jim Florentine and Dave Attell went over to perform for the troops on their vacation from the show when they never had to do it in the first place. He is a really good guy with bad habits.
