The Ol' Tiernan just climbed in the van with 3 buddies for a week of golf, Bourbon St & Sugar Bowl hi-jinks. First stop is the Robt Trent Jones course at Birmingham to fuck with the Bama locals. Go Bucks!

I'll be there. But not looking forward to the YouTube video of Tiernan acting like a moron. Leave that to the bama fans, like every other year.

Bham is underwater. Do yourself a favor and go to Saws BBQ. I've got fam and friends in Bama and they are a little too chill about this game.

Some people actually have the kinds of jobs that pay us the kind of jack we can do just about anything we want anytime we want to do it. Too bad your squagly ass ain't one of them.

Skank and Lowry must live together in a shithole apt. In NEO...probably Elyria or Parma.

Buckeye Nation owned Bourbon St last night - we've renamed it "Urban St". The Bama Bitches that have shown up claim their fellow mofos will be driving down tomorrow...pussies.

I've been getting snap chats from friends. Buckeye nation looking strong down there.

I'm assuming that will change tomorrow. Same thing happened in '08....OSU fans greatly outnumbered LSU until the day of. Then the boat shoe, khaki wearing nerds swarmed in on gameday.

The bar where ESPN is set up a block south of the French Quarter is my favorite place to go off of the French Quarter (Ernst Cafe). Usually pretty mellow (when ESPN not set up next to it) and the food's good.

When we were down there for a conference in '08 we'd always go there after it was over for the day.
The wife (then girlfriend) and I went in 2011 and stayed there for like 8 hours. Went for a late lunch, but it was the day of the LSU/Oregon game so we just stayed for it too and got hammered.

Abita.. ugh can't do it.

Osu fans did overrun bourbon street though.

Bama fans are so odd. Grown ass men with pom poms in their back pocket and waving them, they wear polo's or jackets with the color popped, or a plaid alabama shirt with a sweater vest jacket. No jerseys, tshirts.. just all that crap. They all have the same comb over haircut too. The women all wear dresses or dress up for the game. It's just sort of weird. They definitely spend more time trying to look good than cheering.

It's the culture. I certainly don't spend any time trying to look good, but on Saturdays in Lexington I wake up, throw on some khaki shorts and a blue polo, and start drinking. I think it's more the prominence of Greek life than anything though. Half of guys and more than half of girls in the SEC are Greek. Certainly won't complain about women in sundresses. It is strange how bad a rep jerseys get down here though. The divide is literally right across the Ohio/Kentucky border.

I'd guess the women spend more time getting ready for the game then they do AT THE game. But I did meet some girls that were actually knew their football, so that was alright. But I'd guess living around Tuscaloosa, you'd almost have too. Plus I didn't realize it till this week but that's a tiny tiny place. So not much to do around there.
