A good Gyro is hard to find. The meat is a big factor but the tzatziki sause is the game breaker. I'm going for a gyro for lunch today just don't know where to go. I have three option in my area, I think I will go to a little place ... Beysleys.

where do you go for your Gyro fix?

I don't think I've ever had a gyro. Also, how does everyone pronounce?

"Street Treats" on Akron U campus (has a brick/mortar store in downtown Akron now too).

Best gyro I have ever had in Ohio.

Guy is Greek by heritage, makes his own sauce, and they are insanely good.

Not sure if the place even exists now but a few years ago on 23 just north of 270 was a little shop that had the best I have tried. We would eat there for lunch a couple of times a week. First time trying lamb or goat was at that place. Wish I could remember the name.

H-euro. Like h-whipped cream. At least that's what my friend who grew up in Greece calls them.

Yanni's? It's a little hole in the wall looking restaurant on Cleveland Ave, just north of 270. (Behind the strip club) They have the best Greek food I've ever eaten.

There were a couple good places in Athens when I was in college there. One was a buggy (about directly across the street from the Burrito Buggy) and the other was a small place about a block north.

Have no clue if either still exist, though. In other words, it's been too damn long since I've had an actual gyro.

Close, maybe "ha-yee (roll the r) - o".

I found a place that sells the lamb meat so you can make your own.

Skorpio's in Newark have very good Gyros. The Natoma Café used to have the best in town but they closed and reopened as a steak house and took Gyros off the menu.

Mezze in Gahanna. It's number 2 in all of Columbus on Yelp of all restaurants not just Greek places. They have a spice it up options that is great if you like spicy food.

The place in West Side Market in Cleveland was good but was overhyped and the line was outrageous.
