That's not true. The criticisms of Mariota have nothing to do with his performance in the title game. The criticisms are based on the fact he didn't have to operate like an NFL quarterback with all of the pre-snap reads and audibles like Winston did. He was operating a high speed, dumbed down offense.

I did hear an NFL official say they were very surprised with how intelligent Mariota was "on the board" though. With that said, do I think Mariota could be a good NFL quarterback? Yes. Do I think there will be a learning curve? Yes. Do I think Browns fans will give him the time he needs to progress through that learning curve? No.

I also think Mariota will easily overcome those criticisms. I was only saying that they have nothing to do with the title game.

It wasnt like MM was bad against OSU. Wasnt he missing his two top receivers, one to injury the game prior and one to suspension?
There were two very, very costly drops early in that game. They make those catches and who knows what happens. OSU's OL won that game with the running game. Does OSU stick to it as much if they happen to go down 14-0? Very well could be singing a diff tune. I imagine Meyer sticks to his game plan but you never know what will happen if those two easy catches were made early on. Either way...MM comes out looking much better if those easy plays were made and could have lead to much more.

Hell. No. If he falls to us whatever, but no way do I want to trade up for the guy. We have had terrible uses of 1st round picks, don't want to waste them again. If it were a Luckesque prospect than sure, but no way for MM.

I can't think of any recent example of a QB that was inaccurate in college that became accurate in the pros. Same thing I don't like about bryce petty.

Supposedly this isn't the actual design but I like it if it is.

Should I buy a Dwayne Bowe, Josh McCown, or Johnny Manziel jersey to represent my next few seasons as a fan?

lol. I bought a Haden one not too long ago because they aren't many players you can count on sticking around.

Everybody likes a train wreck. Although, I'd like it just to get the behind the scenes stuff.

Here is how Rotoworld commented on the likelihood of the Browns being the choice for Hard Knocks:\

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News is hearing the Browns are the "front-runner" to be featured on HBO's 2015 Hard Knocks series.

This would be a doozy. The Browns have reached a new low in terms of organizational dysfunction under (accused) federal criminal Jimmy Haslam, drafting Johnny Manziel per the owner's orders and also whiffing (so far) on No. 8 overall pick Justin Gilbert. Manziel has been in rehab for more than six weeks. GM Ray Farmer proved in well above his head in his first year on the job, illegally text messaging the Browns' sideline during 2014 games. The dysfunction led to OC Kyle Shanahan essentially quitting after the season. Currently, the Browns have easily the NFL's worst offensive depth chart. The Browns opening their doors to HBO's cameras would give the world a real chance to see what a perennial loser looks like, and why bad teams in the NFL tend to stay bad.

Carucci might have an "in" as, up until recently, he was an employee of the Browns.

Love how the writer covers his ass for when Gilbert becomes a good player. More throwing shit from Rotoworld. Shocker.

Well they won't show it as a train wreck. The Browns are allowed to go in and actually watch the editing and make changes

I say let it happen. This way Haslam can join goodell's good boy club. All of a sudden farmer isn't being punished for text gate, Gordon's suspension is lifted and Pettine can get away with trying to trip opposing players.

Am I the only one that just doesn't care anymore about Browns offseasons? I mean all it has come too is the national media making us look like shit and the local media talking about the draft. Yawn.

You're not alone. After the past few years I've become more & more disinterested in the offseason.
