Damn...even that would be a little far. The amount of panic that would cause one person and then if he shared it with his family. I hope it was a joke, but you gotta let him know damn near immediately in this case.

Since CC gave away clues to his identity many times and a few other things that would allow someone to deductively figure out his identity...does he lose any leverage in a case against the school/person who turned him in, legally speaking??

Sadly the time on the massage board hasn't been correct in years. Who knows when he really made those posts and if they were during school time or class. The theme of the posts isn't correct and I Hope the time on the website being down doesn't get him in trouble.

I take it there was no IP match with the poster who posted the email. It has to be somebody that posts on this site quite regularly, or used to and now just lurks.

Never once did either of you divulge exact information about him, to my knowledge. But when he goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on... about coaching what he does, where he lives, etc, then you and/or dlazz mention where you went to school, it's not hard for one to figure out.

I wouldn't put blame on you (or dlazz) at all for people finding out who he is. It was just real easy to put together.

Example: like_that posted (since deleted) what he placed as a wrestler at state, and the year he graduated. He said he went to school with my cousin, so that narrowed down the school he attended. With that information alone, it is/was easy to find out his name. (I'm not going to divulge, like_that)
