On Nov. 2, Masters runner (at least 40 years old) Chris Kimbrough made history by shattering the women's beer mile world record with a time of 6:28. Watch the Austin local and mother of six break the previous record (6:42) one month away from the Beer Mile World Championships.

[h=1]Meet Beer Mile WR Holder Chris Kimbrough[/h]Chris Kimbrough was a basketball player in college and didn't start running competitively until she was 35 years old. That obviously hasn't slowed her down. Now age 44 (she'll turn 45 on Tuesday) and a mother of six, the Olympic Trials marathon qualifier and beer mile world record holder discusses her recent beer mile performance and a possible new world record at this year's Beer Mile World Championships. Her time of 6:28.6 broke the a 17 year old record by nearly 14 seconds.

I actually ran in a semi-competitive one of these a few weeks ago and won it. I drink really fast.
