It seems like he only deactivates "chill mode" for the big games this season.lhslep134;1689627 wrote:This is why I refuse to actually care about any regular season games
If Lebron's going to be in "chill mode" until it matters, then I'm not going to get upset when we lose a regular season game.
Yup. And how are you supposed to evaluate a team whose best player only tries hard a select few times?like_that;1689629 wrote:It seems like he only deactivates "chill mode" for the big games this season.
It's hard for me to evaluate any of them because it seems like VERY few give a rat's butt in the majority of games until the last 6-10 minutes of the game. LeBron said it bt I think 95% of comfortable starters are right there with him.lhslep134;1689630 wrote:Yup. I didn't take it as he was just pretty chill about the game and wasn't trying hard to win.
Although I do think NBA stars go in coast mode until it really starts to matter.
He rarely has that killer instinct....he wants to win and win a lot, but he's too nice. I think he's a good guy that is really still a kid at heart. I still think the average NBA game lacks a lot of intensity and few players on the court are really locked in and 100% focused on execution/winning.like_that;1689638 wrote:This contradicts your whole post lol. Lebron was coasting last night and he was coasting against the heat. Hard to criticize a guy with the line he had against the heat, but it was all kumbaya on xmas day. He didn't seem to have a killer instinct in him that night at all. I had a feeling that was going to happen, when I heard the heat planned to play a tribute video for him. Butter him all up.
I agree with most of this post. I think his killer instinct comes during most of playoff time though. Obviously also when people talk shit to him. I wish somebody would talk shit to him every game. This is why the MJ/Lebron debate should never happen. As for your comment about the average NBA game, this is one of many reasons why I have lost interest in the NBA outside of the cavs. These guys simply do not give a fuck enough to go out every single game. The vets are smart enough to know when to use their energy. It seems the only teams that go all out every game are the new up and coming teams, before they learn the hard way it really doesn't fucking matter in a 7 game series. I think they should shorten the season. That could be a quick fix that might ignite some energy in every game.Ironman92;1689640 wrote:He rarely has that killer instinct....he wants to win and win a lot, but he's too nice. Just my perception.
I just mean that I take "chill" and "coasting" differently.like_that;1689638 wrote:This contradicts your whole post lol. Lebron was coasting last night and he was coasting against the heat. 50 years of championship futility should tell you that they never "have it" even if they say they do.like_that;1689689 wrote:Obviously I would too. It would just be nice to get some type of "relax cleveland, we got this shit" sign from the cavs at some point in this season.
Like that asked me to tell you to go fuck yourself.IggyPride00;1689716 wrote:50 years of championship futility should tell you that they never "have it" even if they say they do.
