I'm glad they won. The season's team has a habit of playing down to their competition. Good win, let's keep them coming!

You're absolutely right, they should throw a few games and lose them just to make sure they're not playing their best ball until May! What are these clowns thinking trying to win every time they go out?!?! :sSkyhook79 wrote:Peaking too early just like last year.LTrain23 wrote: 27-8.

So every team that has about the same record or better then the Cavs are peaking to early or is it just the Cavs out of all those teams who are peaking to early?

The theory of peaking too early is stupid. They just need to keep developing and getting better. A lot of the problems in the past have been the team forgetting some of the fundamentals (rebounding, defense). If we can maintain those fundamentals we will be alright.
Also, one major difference between this year's team and last year's team is that we are beating quality opponents. We are beating the best teams in the league this year, with the occasionally slip up against a poor team.

So the Lakers are peaking too early since they have a better record % wise than us.

The Lakers obviously know how to handle it as evidenced by the last 2 years.devil1197 wrote: So the Lakers are peaking too early since they have a better record % wise than us.

This season the Lakers aren't playing too well against good competition while beating the lesser teams.

The Lakers are 13-6 vs current playoff teams and the Cavs are 15-6 against current playoff teams.
So that means ALL of the Laker losses have come against playoff caliber teams and 2 of the Cavs losses have come against non playoff caliber teams.

The Cavs have lost to Chicago, Toronto, Charlotte, Washington, Memphis, Houston, Dallas, and Boston.
4 losses to teams with a .500 or worse record. Three teams that wouldn't be in the playoffs as of today (Memphis, Washington, and Charlotte). LMAO at you considering Chicago and Toronto to be good teams as they have sub .500 records. Cleveland has only 3 losses against good teams one of which was the opening game and only one was a 10 point loss. Meanwhile, Cleveland has demolished PHO, LA, HOU, and ATL the past 1 1/2 weeks by 10+ sometimes 20+. All of those teams are 20 wins right now and 3 are from the WC.
Meanwhile, the Lakers have lost to Dallas, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, Utah, and Phoenix all by 10+ points. 3 of those losses were by 15+. All those teams have 20 wins except for Utah with 18.
Like I said, the Lakers in their losses have been terrible against true playoff competition.

They have only played Cleve,Dallas,Denver once so we will see in the coming games.
You also fail to mention that they also beat Houston, Utah by 24 and Phoenix twice by 19 and then 20 pts.
Why would you question a team that has been to the Finals 2 straight years winning it last year vs a team that has been to the Finals 1 time in their history and swept at that???

Yes, the Lakers beat those team but they are similar to the Cavs last year.
Beating up mostly on crappy teams while getting beat by the good ones.
Keep talking about the past though, this year the Lake Show has lost, mainly by large amounts, too good teams.
