I would take Lebron over MJ in everything but blackjack and the 4th quarter of a Game 7.

I'd bet MJ has lost way more money in BJ than Bron has. Bron doesn't strike me as a reckless gambler

Sure, maybe it is too early to crown a player who is still active. As of now, MJ is the best, but I think Lebron is a much better player.

LeBron can do things that no one in the history of basketball can duplicate. Just the sheer size and athleticism puts him into a category of his own.

MJ is a better offensive player.

In the end, I think LBJ will end up as the best ever.

He's in the discussion. This might be a fun discussion, in the discussion:

Shaq, LBJ, MJ, Wilt, Russell, Big O, Timmy

Anyone got someone else they want to throw into the hat?

People will never acknowledge that though, Jordan came first and there is this thing called nostalgia. Jordan happened during our childhoods and people will always place their childhood above anything else from my experience.

I can't put Wilt, Russell or Oscar up there because I never saw them play and neither did anyone else on here in real time.

I'm not sure MJ is better offensively either, if you include passing and play making. They shoot nearly identical from the field as well. I think Lebron creates more offense.

I feel since we are old enough to appreciate Lebrons game, that some of us don't realize how explosive MJ was. I watched him as a kid, but never could understand that as a child. I watched highlights of MJ the other day, and his athletic ability was amazing. He might not be the size of Lebron, but I think MJ would posterize anybody in this current league.

Also, if Lebrons ends up going down as the greatest to play the game, then that would make me happy, because that would mean the Cavs have won at least one title.

Jk he will opt out and leave after the Cavs get knocked out by the bulls. /espn

Im not talking numbers here.

LeBron gets a lot of buckets and stuff because of his size and strength. That doesnt diminish anything, but it also makes MJ a better scorer imo. He had more moves, and just a way about him on offense. LBJ doesnt need it, which is why I say he is in a category alone. No one can just dominate like him by simply being better as well as stronger and faster. MJ was a tremendous athlete, but not LBJ. He got his baskets from a great pull up game and an array of moves on the wing/in the post.

LeBron is a better passer and can facilitate an offense in a way MJ could not.

MJ was definitely an incredible athlete, his first step and burst was tremendous.

MJ used to live in the lane in his early years so that's somewhat of a wash. Jordan was a slightly better mid range shooter. Lebron has the ability though like you said to live on the block and get easy buckets there where as MJ had that mid post area.

I think this is a fair analysis. Can't say I disagree.

Clint Capela started the season 0/17 from the stripe? That seems like it should have been a bigger story.

Josh Smith dropping dimes. Pretty sure all 8 of his assists have come in the 4th quarter.
