After being critically injured in an accident involving a tractor at his daughter's farm, Jim Traficant has passed away. He may have been really crooked, but he was entertaining as hell!

RIP Mr. Traficant.

I liked Jim, meet him a few times. He called out other Senators and voiced his opinions no matter what others thought.

Sad day. I liked Jimbo. He was my favorite Mooney Alumni. Close with Boom Boom Mancini. I missed him telling all those other Washington insiders to go fuck themselves.

This is why he got into trouble. He pissed off a lot of people saying what he thought. Yeah he was tied with the mob but most senators/congress are crooks anyways. He was a good guy and had a passion for the Youngstown area that we haven't seen in many years. RIP Jim.

He must've been a great boss and a pleasure to work for. He'd hire staffers at$23,000 a year, then on payday they'd hand him an envelope with a percentage of their paycheck in it.....cash only. Sort of like a sin tax.

He obviously had some problems, no doubt. But it was sort of refreshing to hear him take off on one of his rants with the 'beam me up' phrase etc.... and he sure proved that when BIG government wants to come after you, they can really come after you ------- eye opening for sure.

He accepted bribes and diverted campaign funds to his own personal use. You can blame every ill of the world on BIG government if you want. But this guy was a convicted criminal. You are like a broken record.
