The Indians keep post season hopes alive by taking the final 3 games from Houston....on to Minny and a needed sweep of the Twins.

Trevor Bauer(5-8, 4.04)is charged with the task of taking on the Twins' ace Hughes(15-10, 2.57) in the lid lifter.

House vs May in game #2...a matchup that greatly favors the Tribe.
Kluber against an undetermined Twins pitcher in the finale.

Win the first one, and there is a pretty good chance for a sweep, and pushing hopes into the final homestand.

Really can't take anything but a sweep, especially with the cats and royals playing.

Tito you cant take Crockett out for Josh Tomlin. 0-2 Frisbee loses the game. The late inning guys haven't been as sharp lately.

Jose Ramirez with the biggest non error boot of the year....snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and probably ending the Tribe's dwindling chances.

......I said on the other thread that they couldn't lose more than 1 and that they needed to sweep the Royals. Well, that was the ONE. I don't think this team has it in them, but not for the lack of effort., and not for lack of superior coaching.

I'm not going to throw Tomlin under the bus. Josh Tomlin is what he is....and that is, a #5 starting pitcher/spot starter/ long relief man. He never should have had to be put into that situation to begin with. I'm not going to throw Francona under the bus either, because he used his bullpen to get his team in the position to win that game, and once again the defense failed to execute a simple play. Jose Ramirez ABSOLUTELY has to make that double play. There was nothing hard about that routine, tailored made double play ball that would have given the Tribe a 4-3 win in 9 innings.
It seems somewhat fitting, watching this team's defensive struggles all year long.....that that is the way the season probably ends.

Tribe scores 3 in the 2nd ... Biggest offensive inning in 10 games. Tribe is up 4–2 in the 4th.

I love Tito...Great manager and I rarely question hum. But why not put McCallister in there instead of Tomlin? And I was talking about that with Jr. earlier today and not after his performance tonight. You just can't continue to run that guy out there in tight games. The tribe needs to sweep KC plain and simple. If they do that then only the Mariners, 3 games back stand in their way.

Wedge ... Zac Mac was used earlier in that game .

Tribe now only 3 1/2 back of the Royals for 2nd wild card. ... But have to jump Seattle too.

It's less than that actually because I think we pick up another win by playing like an inning vs. the Royals if I remember correctly from a game earlier this year that they stopped.

Could be wrong but I thought I heard the radio guys talking about it.

If we hold on for the bottom half vs the Royals, it's essentially 2.5 back.

But, still have the Ms.

The elimination number for the division is 3 and for the wildcard 6. There are 7 games left and the partial KC game.

Fucking Tribe! Keeping me invested heading to the final week of the year. Simply cannot believe this after the struggles early (though admittedly, I had them in this position before the season started).

Control our own destiny versus KC, though a sweep will be tough 2/3 (3/4) is doable. If they are swept versus Detroit, we are looking at just the Ms to topple!

Oakland has I believe 4 blown saves in the 9th inning the past 2 weeks. They do have Doolittle back to clean that up...but they cannot beat the effing Rangers and they still have 4 more with them.
