How many really closes friends do you have? Friends that you share a common interest, see regularly, those individuals you would help and in return they would help you in time of stress. True friendship

i pick and choose my friends carefully and keep to myself as much as possible so my numbers will be low.
i will not use my Army buddies, that was in my squad because I don't see them on a regularly.

Totally 8 couples very good friends I have three OC friends but they don't count
2 couples are Black
6 couples are White Irish, German, Italian, Polish .... Whatever

None. I drink alone.

I have two very close friends that I would trust with anything, everyone else I associate with are just friends/acquaintances.

I'm pretty sure anyone who has ever met me walks away saying to themselves , "...man I wish that guy was my best friend."

I'd say 3 pretty close friends..... 1 that kinda is the glue that hold all our friends together. He's the single one who's always willing to go out. He's also the one who informs us of what everyone else in our group of friends is doing.

Some I consider friends. Others I just consider.

You have almost reached that 3/5 ratio you were looking for.

Funny when you talk about friends. Kids nowadays consider how many facebook friends they have as a status symbol when in fact many have never even met most of them. I always tell my step daughter, who is all into that FB crap, that each and every friend I have on FB is someone I have met, talked to, and knew even before they became a friend on facebook.

When I coached HS kids I never got into that being a frient with them during that period. After they had done graduated, off to college and and now starting families there are a number that I would consider friends.

But that probably wasnt the topic at hand.
