Despite a poor outcome vs the Tigers, the Tribe went 4-3 in a pivotal 7 game stretch to not just keep them alive, but keep our hopes alive as well.

We welcome the Sox to town now, and despite the match-up tonight being in their favor, TJ House might've been the best AL pitcher in August. So who knows.

Series win here is a must, at the minimum.

I hope he is right. That is potentially exciting. They still should have signed kazmir to a longer contract. We wouldn't be too far off from contention (division) right now.

Gammons is spot on and confirms what I was saying in my discussion with the negative Nancy's about Shapiro/Antonetti at the end of the Tigers thread. They have locked up Brantley,Kipnis, and Gomes for the rest of the decade and have a powerful core of young pitchers under control for several years. It's becoming easier to see that this team is poised to contend for years to come.... All we need is for Dolan to open his wallet and sign a key piece to put us over the top. It would be easier to do if the attendance figures were more encouraging.

I posted the RD 1 picks since the 2010 promotion of Shapiro and Antonetti. They are solid, at worst.

While I'm sure that they have input, the drafting and evaluation of young talent is probably more the responsibility of scouts and other people .

I believe they just fired a bunch of scouts a couple years ago.

Rumor has it that the Marlins will be shopping Stanton this offseason.

I would give up anything but Brantley, Kluber, Salazar and Gomes. I would even throw Bauer in the deal.

Is Santana batting left vs Sale or is game cast being retarded??

We are throwing Shaw out there. I would let House go another inning...or at least till he gets a man on.

Giants up 6 on the Tigers in the 4th. Game is delayed. With our luck it will be washed out.

MLB tonight seems to think they will try very hard to get it in. No common off days, and obviously dont play each other again.

Yea they gotta try to get it in. I figured they would just play 2 tomorrow.

MLB knows the game is important to a lot of teams...no way they would want to take a 6-run lead away from SF.

I mean, they may end up having to do just that, but at 6-0, it might be like the Tribe game last year that resumed at 2am or whatever. If it was a 1-0 game, its probably called by now.

Not surprising vs Sale. But going on the 3rd inning of relief, with our best hitters due up from the start, it would be nice to win this thing now.

Of course, Allen needs 1 more out...

Good job by Lee. Can we score a god damned run and get a win?

Well this one is already seen... You better score here because it'll probably mean Zack McAllister coming in for the 11th.

Can we please win it here and not throw our 7th starter out for the 11th to lose?

Geez Kipnis... Why don't you just get yourself out? Oh wait, you just did.
