Justin Boren transferring from Michigan to Ohio State. Got out of hell at U of M and into heaven at Ohio State.
One of the Juniors submitting paperwork to the NFL. After the game he said, "We'll celebrate for 2 weeks then get back to work for next year". What Junior wouldn't want to come back for next season?

Stay at Mich and graduate with a total of 8 wins in your last two years or transfer and win a Rose Bowl and start your senior year ranked in the top five.....
Very good decision....

Boren will be back, he's the nastiness we've been looking for up front for a while now and he's transferred it across the board (well, almost anyways, I think Shugarts is soft as hell).
his little bro didn't do too shabby either. He's a short guy but he clears holes and competes hard

You know, I really hope that at least one of Heyward and Gibson come back, although both would be ideal.
If they both come back, our defense can really do some damage next season.

if both come back we could be scary.... we'll be replacing both our safeties, but I think we'll be fine there...
have good linebackers and some other good ones coming in

We won't miss Anderson Russell... Or at least I won't. I'll miss Kurt Coleman, despite missing a few tackles, most notably the big gain by James in which Coleman didn't wrap up when he had him at 7 yards.darbypitcher22 wrote: if both come back we could be scary.... we'll be replacing both our safeties, but I think we'll be fine there...

I won't just because he didn't wrap up Quan Cosby and he let a 95 MPH fastball from Masoli that got tipped bounce of his chest... Coleman didn't tackle tonight but he's been a solid, solid player over his four years. You've got to think Jermale Hines figures into that equation next year in some capacity

Hines fills in for Russell, I think. I think Nate Oliver will get more PT next year though. I've been waiting for him to see some action.darbypitcher22 wrote: I won't just because he didn't wrap up Quan Cosby and he let a 95 MPH fastball from Masoli that got tipped bounce of his chest... A lot of people have been waiting to see that. Should be a battle to keep an eye on in Spring practice

After the game, a BTN announcer asked Heyward if he'd be wearing the same uniform next year and he said, "I sure hope so."DaBrowns41 wrote: You know, I really hope that at least one of Heyward and Gibson come back, although both would be ideal.

Hines started about half of the games this year when Russel was in the dog house, after he gambled on an INT and missed, giving up a a TD, like he did in the Texas game last year.DaBrowns41 wrote:Hines fills in for Russell, I think. I agree, great choice transferring to OSU....To bad he wastd two years at UM. He should have picked OSU from the get go, an dyes he was offered by OSU as a SR in high school.
Good luck to him and his brother, it's nice to see Central Ohio Kids doing well at the next level.

Well, I sure hope Heyward and Gibson come back, but take what you hear now with a grain of salt.. They're on cloud 9 after winning the Rose Bowl and of course they're going to say they hope to be back..
Once everything settles down and they get their mind right, they'll think about the decision long and hard. Ultimately, they need to find out where their draft stock is at and how much they think they can improve it. If it's not ideal, or they just really do want to come back for their Sr season, then they'll do so.
Till then, I'm just going to enjoy this Rose Bowl victory over a very good Ducks team.

It would be nice if all the Buckeyes who are eligible to return next season, did so. The reality these days is that we can't expect that to happen. Hopefully, we will return enough when added to the new recruiting class next fall, that we will be just as good or better than we were this season. As far as the heaven and hell comparison is concerned, I think that may be a little harsh and more a product of post BCS Game euphoria than reality, but I'm so happy about the Buck's victory yesterday, that I'm inclined to wallow in the moment for a little while longer. Go Bucks, and let's see if we can get back in that Championship Game next year and quiet the rest of the haters and the doubters out there.

Gibson leaves and Heyward stays.
Hines and Johnson start at safety next year.

When Hines went out yesterday, Johnson got onto the field before he came back so I think we'll see Johnson next year.
I've talked with someone from the team and he says Johnson is the real deal at Safety. Loves to hit and is extremely athletic and quick.
I think Hines moves to strong safety and Moeller takes over at the hybrid spot that Hines played at all season.

I think that is our base defense next season. Spitler isn't replaced and they just play a 4-2-4 with a hybrid (yes that = 11). I mean, Moeller was a starter before he got hurt, so I think that was already the plan for this year.charliehustle14 wrote: When Hines went out yesterday, Johnson got onto the field before he came back so I think we'll see Johnson next year.

He should be ready to go next season. If not I am sure Bell or Sabino can fill in nicely, considering those were two top LB's the past couple years out of HS.darbypitcher22 wrote: Hopefully Moeller is healthy and recovered....

Sabino looks like he's a real physical player on special teams

He is but not too smart. That's the only thing keeping him off the field on defense. The guy is very physically gifted but hasn't grasped the defensive schemes as well as the coaches would like.darbypitcher22 wrote: Sabino looks like he's a real physical player on special teams
