I had cable shut off from May 1-the end of august. Got it hooked back up this weekend and saw some show called Saved By The Bell the unauthorized...........
Didnt watch and it has to be awful, but did anyone else catch it?
Just wondering how awful it was and with it being a childhood show of a bunch of us on here i know some of you probably watched it.

My wife recorded it, but we haven't watched it yet. It's pretty much based on Dustin Diamond's book...so you have to take everything with a grain of salt. But I plan on watching it despite the fact that it is most likely a typical shitty Lifetime movie.thavoice;1649825 wrote:I had cable shut off from May 1-the end of august. It was pretty bad overall but like you said since it was a big show from our childhood, I had to watch it. I learned some things I didn't know.

Which were most likely not true.bigdaddy2003;1649832 wrote:It was pretty bad overall but like you said since it was a big show from our childhood, I had to watch it. I learned some things I didn't know.
The rest of the cast was very against this movie because it wasn't a true depiction of the way it was.

It was hilariously bad, and all of the behind the scenes "scandals" weren't even juicy at all. I was kinda bummed. If Dustin Diamond was going to make stuff up, I had hoped for it to at least be salacious, etc.

There's probably a big reason why it didn't take long at all for him to go from SBtB to Celebrity Boxing and shit like that. Not enough talent or brainpower to be any better.Fab4Runner;1649841 wrote:It was hilariously bad, and all of the behind the scenes "scandals" weren't even juicy at all. I was kinda bummed. I learned that Dustin Diamond invented "that's what she said" and "douchebag" was a prominent put down in the early 90s

I always thought it was funny how the school switched from being in Indianapolis to all of a sudden on the west coast and Screech when from a dumb kid to the smart one....

Your first comment is addressed in the movie, and IMO Screech was never dumb, just the class clown.thavoice;1649930 wrote:I always thought it was funny how the school switched from being in Indianapolis to all of a sudden on the west coast and Screech when from a dumb kid to the smart one....

Actually I think they implied he did bang ms bliss and even the girls who were on for a short period of time like Stacy and tori. They also implied he tag teamed a couple of them with a producer when they had "meetings" behind closed doors or that's Atleast what Dustin Diamond imaged was happening. He also said the storyline of relationships ran very similar to who was banging who at the time.

I didn't watch the movie last night but my wife read the book and she said those were the biggest revelations.

Here's an article talking about the most outrageous things in the book.
