I wonder if the two players will be pitchers or hitters? On TV they talk like they are not significant players, but all we know is they are to be named later. Negron one for two today on high effort diving catch attempts going full bore away from home plate. The first one he didn't have much of a chance, but that one he converted in a big spot in the game!

Now Jim Day backs off what he said Jockety indicated about the players and next year to now say they'll contribute in the next 2-3 years. Negron needs to be in the lineup 5-6 days of the week next year. If that means a guy like Cozy becomes a bench player, so be it.

Marte with a great play to hold Hannahan to a single on a play, if not made, could have been a 2 out triple. Maybe because there were 2 outs and the difference between a triple and a double is not near what it would be with none or one out, but the difference in a single and a double or triple with two out is very great, and due to that is why he went after the ball along the side wall so aggressively. Great play with mind and body!

Not so fast!
