2 hits by Reds then middle guys all whiff miserably ....then St Louis middle guys work Leake and chase nothing. Then Jay Bruce whiffs on a ball to RF to end the inning to allow a 2nd run, of course they call it a hit which is laughable.

Both halves of the 1st started out promising(BH leading off with a hit; BP retiring the first 2 on weak grounders), but both halves turned negative pretty quickly after that --- 2-0 Cards after one!

The 8th is typical of how the season has gone. Tie game, Reds get the lead-off batter on, then no further damage. Cardinals first two hitters make outs, then two hits and the lead run scores.
