Big weekend for the Wahoos and friends of the feather.....

The Orioles are in town which should be a definitive weekend for the Tribe and whether they can compete with the big boys. Rock and Blast fireworks tonite and tomorrow should bring out alot of fans. I'll be going tonight hopefully to witness another magical performance by Corey Kluber who will be facing off against the O's
Wey-Yin Chen (12-4, 3.90)

Carlos Carrasco takes on old friend Ubaldo Jimenez on Saturday.
T.J.House vs Gausman on Sunday.

continuing the discussion from the previous thread....
Looks like all the Pirates gave up for Axford was that they have to pay the rest of his salary. With everything you've all said about Dolan, I'm guessing he'd probably rather be off the hook for that $1.1M than actually get anything in return (not that a pitcher like Axford would bring in anything more than minor league organizational depth).
This is addition by subtraction. A friend of mine were discussing who was going back to Columbus after Michael Bourn returns, and neither one of us wanted to see Zach Walters or Tyler Holt jettisoned. Both of us said we wanted Axford and his dead weight cut, rather than see those guys sent down. The other guy we thought might be to put Raburn on the DL for 'hurting himself" in making that catch out in right the other night ;).

Hopefully Kluber is cool with just the 1 run tonight. He is going to have to make it stand.

The offense the past 3 games had been Zach Walters and Tyler Holt

I love how there was a promotion to pick the walk up music for a relief pitcher who was cut, cleared waivers and is now with the Pirates.

Fucking Shaw. If Allen was ready he should have gotten 4 outs.

You mean the one where he badly misjudged the ball, kept drifting back and stuck his mitt out ala "look what I found "? Yeah, I saw it

Shaw might have cost Kluber the Cy Young award tonight. Kluber's ERA went up and wasn't the winning pitcher.

Kluber was amazing. Awesome for Aviles. First career walk off homer. Looked like a nice crowd. Great weather. Walk off winner...can't ask for much else.

27K was the attendance, that's pretty shitty for rock and blast compared to previous years

Oh, give the kid a break....certainly he's not polished, just called up to replace our injured outfielders...but he has made some nice catches and has 5/6? hits since he's been up. Most certainly, Holt and Walters have NOT been dead weight.

Offensively he has been an asset, defensively--not so much.

Yes..I'm here. Ubaldo with his 4-8 record for the first place Orioles and all. Now...I wouldn't count on Lshlep showing up today here. You remember Lshlep right? He's still pounding the drums on what a great trade the Indians made to get him here.

Would like to see this too. But he's not doing all that great in triple A.
