Who here on the OC has participated in a protest, march or demonstration? What was the issue or reason for your participation?

I've gone to a few TeaParty rallies, Romney rallies, in the late 60 and early 70s I participated in Viet Vet Against the War... Then realized this wasn't my true ideology, joined in on a few other demonstration and marches just to hit on the girls, could have care less about the issue or reason. Stood once on a Union picket line for 30 minutes and then walked away, because I really didn't support the reason for the strike.
i did participate a lot in the process of getting a school levy passed.

I jumped in Mirror Lake once to show support for my team against the skunkbears up north. We promptly blew them out 42-39 2 days later.

Not only is that not a blow out, it also wasn't a protest. A solid 0-2.

I once got a woman's phone number from an AIDS walk signup sheet.

While in college, I protested both exams and Daylight Savings Time (in particular, the part where bars closed an hour early due to the time change).

Fuckers.

It definitely felt like one. It was probably in the top 2 greatest times of my life. Would protest again.

I went to the Stand Up For Steel rallies in DC when I was in HS. I went because it was free. Overall it was very lame.

They earn money to do their job. Only thing I protest is everyone licking their buttholes just to say they support the military.

I was on board joining a protest (aka not posting on the site anymore) if C4F wasn't removed as a mod. That's about the only one I can think. There were a few dozen ready to join in that as well if memory serves me correctly.

Even a Marietta grad could see that was needed.
