Tornado hit a block away in Virginia Beach

Not sure that NWS has classified it yet but our hotel is seen in the background of this pic. Wind ripped an electric pole in half, and blew everything but whole buildings down in a very small area 1 block off the beachfront. Awnings down everywhere. Crazy storm. Just minutes before it hit 4 Japanese adults were riding one of those dumbass family bikes in a pouring rain.....within 5 minutes the said tornado, hopefully they are ok.

Nothing from NWS on that yet, just a straight line wind determination for an area that apears to be further inland

My link above now has your damage survey. There was a microburst and an EF0 tornado. Depending on where you were, you likely got one or the other

The worst damage I saw was on Pacific Ave in the 15th /16th block

Tornado started "just south of 16th", likely the beginning of it there?
