Family all coming over for fireworks and a tailgate party at North Canton Fireworks, the neighborhood fireworks are later that night…
Most likely for the tailgate party we will have Pizza Oven chicken, jojo’s and pizza also chips and dip, drinks and my daughter will make a sheet cake or pineapple upside down cake.

On Saturday family will be at my house that evening to send off “flying luminaries” … what to prepare for dinner??????
Wife will make potato salad and small macaroni salad
Daughters will bring some ice cream, cake and chips ….

What do I what to prepare ??? I know I will have corn on the grill always a favorite
Do I do …. ribs, steak, hamburger, chicken, pork chops…????
Could bring out the smoker but that a lot of work to do something special and right.. “don’t smoke if you can’t do it right”

What are some of the OC preparing for the family menu this 4[SUP]th[/SUP]?

We're doing Mexican dip and veggies for appetizers, followed by brats and dogs on the grill, along with broccoli salad, pasta salad, and a few other goodies...and oh yeah--lots and lots of beer

Gonna be at the lake all weekend so I'll probably go noodling for some catfish, then I'll go into the woods and wrestle some deer for some fresh meat. May pick some wild berries while I'm in there.

Cut the top of the can open, drink half the beer, pour spices into the can, lather the chicken up with some BBQ and spices, then stuff the can into the chicken. Please the chicken on the grill away from the coals, and close the grill.

It is def getting better, and gets a bad rap. We spend alot of time at our place on Indian Lake and that place is packed even though the water doesnt seem any cleaner than GLSM. Hell, IL had a big bass kill off a few weeks ago and the smell was atrocious. Kids were swimming at the beach and pushing away dead fish!

but they dont get as much bad pub as GLSM.

on the menu....>Bacon dogs over the fire.....

We have our family reunion on the 4th. I will be making German potato salad and sauerkraut salad. The Newark Police Dept. and Licking County Sheriff are placed on high alert for this event.

Burgers, hot dogs and brats. I'll probably got hot dogs for lunch and have some burgers for dinner. All on the grill, with copious amounts of beer and snacks.

Went to the butcher yesterday and picked up a few 2" thick Porterhouses. Going to have that with corn and potato salad.
